What’s on tap: CC faces Rays in rubber matchup
The Yankees will play the final game of a three-game series against the Rays this afternoon at the Stadium at 1:05 p.m. The teams have split the first two games. The Yankees will send struggling left CC Sabathia (3-1, 5.11 ERA) to the mound against the Rays’ Erik Bedard (0-1. 5.52 ERA). There was a time when Bedard vs. Sabathia would have been one of the best pitching matchups in baseball, but each is a shell of their former selves.
