Need to Know: Nuno got roughed up for seven runs — five earned — in just 3 1/3 innings. He walked four and allowed a three-run home run to Curtis Granderson in the first inning.

Alfredo Aceves allowed four earned runs in 1 2/3 innings.

Brian McCann hit a two-run home run in the first inning off Zack Wheeler. McCann had three hits, a walk and three RBI on the night.

Yangervis Solarte hit a solo home run off Daisuke Matsuzaka. Solarte also singled and walked.

Brett Gardner, Mark Teixeira and Alfonso Soriano also drove in runs.
