Carlos Beltran injured his right elbow while taking batting practice during the game on Monday night.
Update – 3:45 p.m.: Beltran had an MRI on his elbow and it revealed bone spurs in his elbow.
He received a cortisone shot to help the pain and hopes to avoid the disabled list. The worst-case scenario for Beltran would be in-season surgery, he said (Sherman, May 13).
Joe Girardi said he had some “concern” about Beltran’s elbow on Monday night.
