The Hall of Fame plaque of Babe Ruth will travel outside of Cooperstown for the first time for events in New York City on Tuesday and Wednesday night.
The plaque will be featured in a pregame ceremony at Yankee Stadium on May 13 and then be on display for fans to see at the Yankees Museum at
at Yankee Stadium from approximately 7:30 p.m. through the end of the eighth inning during the Yankees game against the Mets.
On May 14, the plaque will be featured in Metro-North’s “Getaway Day Staycation Showcase Featuring Path Through History” in Vanderbilt Hall at New York City’s Grand Central Terminal, from 11:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.
The plaque will be a part of the Museum’s presence to promote New York State’s “Path Through History” Weekend to Cooperstown and the central Leatherstocking Region June 12-14.
