Anthony Bosch sentenced to four years in prison

Anthony Bosch, A-Rod’s notorious steroid supplier, was sentenced to four years in federal prison today (NY Daily News, Feb. 17).

Bosch was the owner of the Biogensis anti-aging clinic based out of South Florida. His cooperation with Major League Baseball in 2013 led to A-Rod being handed a 211-game suspension by then commissioner Bud Selig. It was later reduced to a season long suspension, which concludes this spring.

Twelve other players agreed to 50-game suspensions for their involvement with Bosch: Antonio Bastardo, Everth Cabrera, Francisco Cervelli, Nelson Cruz, Fautino de los Santos, Sergio Escalona, Fernando Martínez, Jesús Montero, Jordan Norberto, Jhonny Peralta, César Puello, and Jordany Valdespin.
