That's why my idea of camping is having an RV. You have your own bed, shower and kitchen right with you and know you are the only ones who used it. Not exactly roughing it but that's ok!

As for cars...I love them! I envy Jay Leno with all the different cars he could possibly want. I mostly love the old muscle cars from the 60's and 70's but I wouldn't turn down a few of todays cars if I could have anything I wanted.
No Lambourghinis for me though...strictly American cars (ok, maybe an MG like my dad used to have, but that's about it). That's weird huh?

Never tried the Dolce and Gabana. My mom's favorite was Chanel no. 5 though. It's one of those scents that don't smell good on me though.

My favorite perfume is probably Beautiful by Estee Lauder. I don't buy it often because it isn't cheap. I did get some good deals on Ebay though, for big gift sets with full bottles and they weren't knock offs or watered down.
Only once I was disappointed by buying little sample bottles of something. But that was my fault for not knowing the sizes.

I like cheap perfume because I can have more choices.
Exclamation! is probably my favorite cheapie one.
Also, Celine Dion has a nice scent I just bought for my daughter.
And White Diamonds smells really good.

I don't even think I could do the RV thing, unless it's like some crazy RV. My idea of going away is to a hotel.

So I think this might be a safe place to discuss a show that I dare not start a thread on: America's Next Top Model. That show is like crack, man. Today we had a girl announce she might be bi on national TV, while Tyra showed off serious booty and somebody dressed up like Donald Trump. How can you not like this?

I can do hiking, camping, backpacking. But no RV's. For some reason, I can't do RV's at all.

I can't stay in a hotel. We travel with our dogs and it's nice having everything with us going wherever we want. It's a lot of fun, but it's not for everyone.
We like driving a lot so it's fun for us.

Weird? I know they aren't suited for everyone's style, but I have never heard them referred to as weird. What kind of RV do you mean? Some of them are nicer than some apartments.

Well, weird maybe wasn't the best choice of words. Saying they're not my style would have been better. I don't know, I've never really gotten behind the idea. I'm more of the all or nothing mentality - hotels or campgrounds or bust.

Haha, I have no idea. I don't even have a logical argument [/white flag]

I missed it tonight... in fact, unless I start taping it, I'm going to miss it every week until I stop working Wednesday nights. Don't really think the dudes at the sports desk would take kindly to my asking if we could watch ANTM. I'll see if I can remember to watch the rerun on Sunday before I try to find out what happened.

I really don't normally like 'reality' shows, but I, like most chicks, I suspect, have wanted to be a model at various points in my life, so I find the show to be interesting.

I would love to get an RV because I think we'd travel alot more.

I hate camping though-yuck! Of course, I have only been to very weird campgrounds (cheap husband) so that turned me off right away. We also didn't have the best equipment which I'm told makes a big difference as well.

I would love one of those RV's that open up into practically a house-have you seen those?

Do you mean a motorhome that has slide out rooms?
That's what we have. It's 35 feet and the bedroom and living rooms slide out so there is so much more room. Nothing like the old one we had.

    Yeah that's what I mean.

That must be great. I would imagine they get very poor gas mileage, huh?

Do you ever sleep or go in back while your husband is driving? That would shorten the trip big time.

Eh, the gas mileage is better on the new one than the 1989 Pace Arrow we had. That only got like 4-5 mpg. The new one gets around 10. Not horrible considering it's around 20,000 lbs.

I'm the "co-pilot" (and sometimes I drive), so I always stay up front with hubby. I love long trips so it's never boring to me (otherwise we wouldn't be travelling this way). But the kids do sleep and play video games and watch DVDs when we are driving. And I have been known to make lunch when we are driving.

I like this question, as I am a perfume junkie - I like to wear my perfurme to my mood (or what I would like my mood to be ).
    My top perfumes are:
Philosophy Amazing Grace (more my everyday perfume)
    Dior J'Adore
    Marc Jacobs Marc Jacobs
    Clinique Happy
    and my new obsession is
L'Occitane Neroli - I want to lick myself it smells so good

What does CURVE smell like? I don't think I've ever smelled it, even though I go around smelling everything every chance I get at Sephora.

What about the bathroom? The older ones I had seen, I have shoes bigger than the bathrooms!

What about the kitchen set up?

I have friends who are into the RV thing, and travel everywhere, with their dogs, I have to give them alot of credit. The do seem to go to interesting places. However, for me, the call of the chilled champagne , the foot massage and all day movies, when I am not at the pool, is still my preference.

I intend to be an RV person when I retire. Snowbird with FL as the residence for the state tax break and NY in the summer. No space for the kid to move back home. My husband thinks I'm kidding but I could not be more serious. Hopefully he agrees to the plan. Otherwise, I'm going to miss him.

I know-who's going to do all the chores without the hubby around?

I like the angle about no room for the "children", plus you've figured out the taxes.

My mom says things along those lines...she says after all her kids get married, her and my father are gonna get an RV and travel across the country...lol. I told her to go for it but stick close by for the kids

Liz Claiborne makes it. From a website, this is the description:A Refreshing, Flowery Fragrance. This Feminine Scent Possesses A Blend Of Citrus, Water Lily, And Sandalwood
I personally don't smell flowers at all in it...

To catch up on some of the topics in this thread:

I'm not really a perfume person. I have a bottle of Burberry Brit that I've had for a few years (i.e. if perfume goes "bad", I should probably toss it) that I'll use occasionally and I have some other stuff that isn't a name brand or anything but smells pretty, but other than that, I just can't get into perfume.

RV's? Not for me. I'm not camping on a roadtrip. Maybe for like a night in the summer somewhere with working bathrooms, but if I go away, I'm staying in a motel.

As for guys and sports -- I find they like it initially, but then seem to get intimidated if I bring up anymore than the basic what teams I'm a fan of (and they usually get scared that I know more than them). Maybe I'm finding the wrong guys .

Definitely the wrong guys. A real man would be secure with the fact that a woman might know as much or more about sports than he does.

You are definetly finding the wrong guys. I have yet to date a girl that knows anywhere near as much about sports as I do. I've dated a couple that are casual fans and like to go to games, but really dont know that much about the teams. The girl I'm seeing now knows nothing about sports.

If I found a girl I liked that knew alot about sports (even more then me, although that would be hard to do lol), I would be in heaven. Sports are a big part of my life and if I had something like that in common with the girl I dated, I think that would be awesome.

Of course, it could NOT be the sports thing and it could just be the rest of the stuff about me that scares them away .

But yeah, I think more guys say it than actually mean it. Most of the girls my roommates bring home are of the variety that probably don't know what a baseball is... whereas I'm sitting in the living room with my scorebook (Though I would never date my roommates because that is just wrong -- but they're pretty typical "guys").

I just know that my friends (girl friends) think I'm completely freaking nuts about baseball, Yankees imparticular. Most of them could care a less about baseball.

I dont know....I truly can say that I'd have no problem dating a girl who knew as much/if not more about sports then I do. I just havent actually found a girl like that yet. If I did...I just think it would be so cool. I always have dealt with girls who fight with me about how much sports I watch. To actually date someone who would watch all these games with me?? And one who would live and die with teams like I do? That'd be sweet.

I agree - sweet it is.............it's got to be great to both love the same team and really be into watching the games, discussing them and going to the games together. It ain't easy being married to a Sox fan when you are so passionate about the Yankees. Hence the search for NYYFans.......

Oh yeah. I only have one other girl friend who is into sports. The rest couldn't name one baseball player in the entire league not named Derek Jeter.

Archer, I think the ladies have put us on ignore. Even in an internet thread they dispense the cold shoulder treatment. Women!

A woman was in my office yesterday who claims to be a huge baseball fan. She actually pointed to my screen (my screen saver is Jeter, Giami and Damon) and asked who Jeter was?! I was like...............are ya kiddin'????!!!!!

I don't think so. My guess is that they're too busy looking at our butts to hear what we're saying.

It IS great... until one of you becomes irrationally upset about the firing of the team's GM and boycotts them indefinitely.

I am talking about my fiance, who had a man-crush on Paul DePodesta. It was a struggle to get him to go to one Dodgers game with me this year, and I don't think we watched ten on TV together all season. He wouldn't even get excited with me about their run into the playoffs! We also both love the Lakers, but he's still upset with them, too, for keeping Kobe over Shaq.

I have friends who are into the RV thing, and travel everywhere, with their dogs, I have to give them alot of credit. The do seem to go to interesting places. However, for me, the call of the chilled champagne , the foot massage and all day movies, when I am not at the pool, is still my preference.
Believe me, my hubby is 6'2 and needs leg room in the "restroom". It's very roomy. The kitchen set-up is great. Of course there could be a little more counter space, but I don't do a lot of cooking when we go out, we mostly cook everything on the fire outside.

Oh, and I can chill champagne, watch dvds or shows on any of the 3-4 televisions, or swim in the campground pool or relax in the hot tub as well. We travel with our dogs too.

    Here's the floorplan of ours:

That's the plan for us too. My husband is chomping at the bit. He wants a big bus though. I told him we'd have to sell the house and then some! lol

I know a few people who full time it in their RVs. Some keep their houses as home base and others sell theirs and travel around visiting the kids if they are spread out.

The thing I wonder about the most is what the hell would we do with all the crap we will have accumulated in the house by then?
