I'm listening to it now - this is a good interview. One thing that had me laughing was he essentially said if anyone can figure out A-Rod they need to be on the Yankee payroll for life.

If they ask who was our star, give them 25 names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.
Bowa was great " I'll go to war with Johnny Damon any day"...great job by Bowa.
This was an excellent interview.

I like Bowa ALOT
If we do fire Joe, he's on my short list, along with Girardi and Mattingly.

I've been a huge fan of Bowa all year. He's been pretty much awesome for us - how many times have we had runners thrown out at home this season? I can really only remember once, when Giambi ran through a stop sign.
Good interview!

Bowa is the perfect example of the Peter Principle. Coaching is his highest level of competence and I hope the Yankees can keep him at third base for many years to come.Originally Posted by ZYanksRule
I loved the part where M & MD asked if the team was fired up......Bowa said if your not pumped up for a playoff game, "go home, get a nail, put it up and hang up your spikes.....you dont belong here" It was good stuff, I even recoreded it and wathced it agian
Let's get Soriano to play Centerfield...............just kidding

Yeah - that was a little dig at Sheffield, and he totally dismissed Lidle's comments....highly doubt those two are coming back next year.Originally Posted by InterlockingNY

Bowa did a real good job of running Scott Rolen out of town. How did that work out? He must have learned from those Philly fans who tried to boo Mike Schmidt out of town in the 1970s.Originally Posted by ZYanksRule
Bowa reminds me of what former Yankee Mike Hegan said about his manager at Milwaukee Alex Grammas, who was Sparky Anderson's 3rd base coach before and after Brewer's manager "As a manager Alex Grammas makes a good 3rd base coach."
Maradona good.
Pele better.
George Best.
Bowa is poor as a manger but a great 3rd base coach

Bowa probably indicted the scouting department in his assessment of Kenny Rogers' velocity. He said they expected to see a pitcher who sits between 85-88, topping out at 89.
That's the first place where I would think we hear that changes are made.
