He can still dominate a game as far as I'm concerned.

Big game tonight, don't wanna lose a series.
Huge start for Randy, this is a very good hitting team, they hit for average and power, so this is a great test of what we're gonna see for the rest of the season

IMO, that's what Torre has to say. If Torre went in front of the cameras and said something along the lines of, "Randy is washed up and he has nothing left to contribute to the team," then it would be in all the newspapers and the lead story on SportsCenter. He's just saying that to protect his player. As for how Torre really feels, well only he knows. He can still dominate a game as far as I'm concerned.

Put it all into a blender and if he has 7 innings, 2 earned runs, I couldn't give a flying poop what the other stuff is. Just win the game, dammit!!!![]()

Good evening everyone.....
Lou, as far as I'm concerned you can speak/write in Italian all night because everything sounds nicer in Italian.... it's such a beautiful language to hear (and I can't understand all but a few words).Originally Posted by Tifoso

Personally, I'm not a big fan of AB music. I like the heavy bass in Giambi's tho. Even the kids dance to that stuff.Originally Posted by ZYanksRule

In general I would agree. and let's be clear: I want RJ to be effective for us. What scares me is, unlike say Wang, an effective RJ has always needed the Ks. As I've said before, if he can't get them with his old strategy, he needs to start learning to compensate... yesterday....Originally Posted by Jersey Yankee

I don't memorize dates, but from what I've noticed about RJ, after his back has barked, he's gotten shelled, the following game, even if he went 6-7 innings, he wasn't dominating. Perhaps 3 K at most, but he worked in & out of trouble. Certainly not as much trouble as Wright the other day, but he avoided a few disasters.Originally Posted by Coup
It was like the next start that he was on his hi-K game. If he gives me a good game where he keeps the score low, the number of whiffs is immaterial to me. I'm all about the pudding, not about the ingredients.

Wow, I didn't know taking the field was firework inducing... I mean, it's so amazing that it happens every game, but still.
The real question, do they set them off when they take the field in every inning, or just the first?
