This is the thread to express what you think will happen that many might disagree with. For example I will start with one I have, and I know many will disagree.
The Mets will NOT win the NL East.

Detroit will either not make the playoffs or lose in the ALDS.
I would be happy of the mets blow their lead. It will be very funny to me.
Less bold, considering the standings, but bold nevertheless given their domination in recent seasons, the Cardinals will not win the NLcentral.

On the same note, the Reds will win the Central.
The Yankees will win 8 of the final 9 meetings against the Red Sox, including a sweep of the 5 game series in August.
The Toronto Blue Jays will make a brief appearance in first place.
The Yanks will miss the playoffs (I REALLY hope I'm wrong about that)
Jesus Montero since June 1 (286 at-bats):
.325/.386/.605/.991
July 1 (182 at-bats):
.348/.417/.658/1.075

The Yanks will go on a tear towards the end of the season and end up winning # 27.![]()

Barry Bonds will retire at the end of the season.
.Of all the things in life I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

I would agree with you, especially considering how their rotation is in shambles, but that would mean someone would have to overtake them. As bad as the Mets are going right now, the rest of the division is worse.Originally Posted by JeterRodriguezSheff

Oh...wait, that was last year.
What a dopey prediction that turned out to be.Originally Posted by 26 and counting

Big Papi will go on a mini-tear and end up with 124 homers.
Carl Pavano will pitch again for the Yankees, and David Wells will pitch again for the Red Sox.
These are supposed to be bold predictions.Originally Posted by YankeesFanNuffSaid

The Rockies will win the World Series
That's both bold and wrong.Originally Posted by JeterRodriguezSheff
Substitute the Yankees for the Mets and the AL East for the NL East and you have an accurate prediction.![]()

I disagree unless we do the smart thing which would be to punt this season and then trade Mussina and Sheffield both for top prospects then sign both of them along with Zito again during the off season, along with anything else we might need.Originally Posted by Nome

Arod will get boo'd in Yankee Stadium
The Astros will not finish over .500
Clemens will have a 4.50 ERA.
The Mets will rebound from the past week and win the NL East by more than 20 games.
I'm going to be random... after all they're just guesses.
The Twins will make the playoffs
The Wild Card will not come out of the AL East
The Mets will win not make it out of the first round of the playoffs
The NLCS winner is actually competitive in the World Series
UM... waiting for football
#21 - We will never forget you.
Let's Go Yankees!
I heart young pitchers

I will replace Jason Johnson in the Red Sox rotation.
Burns: I wonder if this Homer Nixon is any relation?
Smithers: Unlikely, sir. They spell and pronounce their names differently.
Giambi will hit 50 HRs for the season.
That's not that bold. What number is on your ticket? I think they're serving number 12.Originally Posted by JWHIII

I look at it this way, if I am wrong well then everyone said I was gonna be wrong, but if I'm right then I look like a genius. Its really a win-win situation.Originally Posted by JDPNYY
