Hit and run with Melky. I can't take a 2b-play right now.

Strange hit....good start. Now a 2B and we're in business....
Infield single for Johnny D! Lead off man is on...please let something come out of this.
I don't like that Melky is up right now.

if Melky can get on base here...we have a chance for a big inning

Hit and run, please.
No, take the BB.

Atta way Johnny!
Walking Melky would be very nice...
Calmer than you are.

Absolutely solid start. Remember, Cano's error was probably the reason for the first two runs....pitched Utley differently with runner on second than nobody on and two outs...and then gave up the 2B. He's pitched well. Not great, dominating- but I'll take this exact start pretty much every time. 2 earned runs over 6? Book it.Originally Posted by CharlieHayes

Melky Ks. Good job by Johnny D to hang on to that base.

Melky swung at ball 4. I really believe because Damon was running Melky swung.

thank God for damon's speed, come on melky, but why is torre even batting you second anymore, put jeter back in the two hole.
Ball 4. I'll say it again Melky is killing us...
Calmer than you are.

Melky doesn't like that hook......runner going may have factored slightly into the swing, but he's looked bad on the excellent curve tonight.
Melky has been bad for awhile now

Melky is now hurting the team![]()
Hes only hitting .183 this month. NOT GOOD
Does anyone else besides me think we need to begin looking for a LF. Me thinks that the pitching has caught up to Melky. A little more seasoning appears to be in order.

Nice steal by Johnny....almost slid right by it.

Come on Giambi, get Johnny home!
DJ, what was that?

Wow...he hung that pitch badly and Derek knocked it into the ground. Shoud've been a gapper.
nice job jeter, thanks for swinging at the first pitch at a guy who essentially just walked melky, and has 110 pitches
No panic, but I wouldnt be against the idea.Originally Posted by hdb

he needs to adjust to the new way they are working him, this is a telling time, cano did the same thing last year, 'Originally Posted by hdb
he started bad, then got hot. The pitchers adjusted, and then he slumped. Then cano responded to that
melky needs to work with donnie, and find his groove
but it also seems like melky isn't as confident, his swing has some doubt
Come on G-Man ... put this team on your back.
