Hey, gdn... on old timers day they're honoring Joe Torre's first World Championship 1996 team. I thought you would like to know...

He has a Jesus christ curveball.

When he throws it you say to yourself, Jesus Christ. See Jeter just now and Melky before him.Originally Posted by JavyVazquezIsSick

50 pitches through 3 for Myers.
Jeter Ks. I'm ready to smack Myers in the face.

I miss Sheffield and Matsui so much, our lineup was potentially so amazing...

2 runs in the last 16 innings from our offense
Jesus Montero since June 1 (286 at-bats):
.325/.386/.605/.991
July 1 (182 at-bats):
.348/.417/.658/1.075
Yeah, its nice, his fastball (although thrown in the mid 90s) is as straight as an arrow, we need to start hopping on it...Originally Posted by ICEBERG18

Oh, I thought it was, if you gave Jesus Christ himself a bat, even he couldn't hit it.Originally Posted by ICEBERG18

Nice catch, Johnny D!
Then we better start jumping on the first or 2nd pitch, because he only really throws that hammer when he has 2 strikes on you.Originally Posted by JavyVazquezIsSick

Interesting strategy that I just thought of when Melky was up:
If you are at least able to bunt for a basehit ever, and plan on taking the first pitch anyway, why not fake a bunt and then pull it back so you can suck in the infield on the corners at least. It would definitely decrease their range at the corners.
I love having a competant CFer, it makes watching the games that much better...

nice catch and concentration by Johnny
A couple quick outs. Me likey.
Bounced right back to RJ. Two away.
Here comes Myers...

Sweet inning for RJ. 7 pitches.
Score some runs, please!

I definetly changes my reaction to seeing the ball hit in that direction.Originally Posted by JavyVazquezIsSick

He's got a .361 obp, better than Damon's. He's been slumping lately though. Long term, it makes sense he's hitting second.Originally Posted by JavyVazquezIsSick
