Good Win Tonight
A GREAAT win over the Tigers.
No Rally Monkeys, Towels or hankies
Just 50,000 fans of the New York Yankees.
Mo only throws 25 pitches.
How many total pitches for Mo? It's probably less than he has thrown in one inning many times this year.
Those who can — do. Those who can’t — criticize.
Btw, Rivera threw only 25 pitches.
Yanks win! Sox lose! Mavs... eh, 2 outta three ain't bad.
First place again.
Pitch well and long tomorrow Mike.

yeah, its too bad the Yankees have the weakest farm system in the majors huh?Don't you love our minor leaguers kicking ass while the other guys are injured?
Just got back from picking up the kids...
How did we score the 5 (after having 6) runs? (in 1-2 sentences)?

WTG Yankees! Good game.
Got to give props to the Detroit team, though.
They look like they're for real - they've got some decent pitching (Zumaya was very impressive), and more than a couple of good hitters... and they didn't lay down and die when they were down by 5 runs.
.Of all the things in life I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
Get someone else to pick up the kids next time.Originally Posted by Tifoso

Ding! Tigers announcer uses payroll as excuse for Yankees' win.
11th inning, Giambi homers, A-Rod single, Stinnett singles, Bernie singles, TLong walks, Phillips singles, Melky singles.Originally Posted by Tifoso

Another potential DP where Tigers 1B's foot is off the bag.
Bernie RBI single.
More singles and general hilarity ensue.

So, just to recap: Despite being a mess with injuries, the Yanks take 2 in a row on the road against Detroit and now sit tied atop the AL East with a .600 winning percentage, 10 games over .500.
Great couple of days.
Let's go for the series win tomorrow. You don't play a four-game series to split, you play a 4-game series to win it.Originally Posted by sweet_lou_14

Wow, what an awesome win that was.
I said it during the game, the way it was played, it would have really sucked to lose that one.
This team has a real heartbeat this year, these guys really wanna win, they just seem to have a never say die attitude, fantastic to see, and exciting...
