Lets take advantage of that break....make Schilling pitch..he's not that good this year.
lucky break helps the Yanks get out of the inning without a run scoring against them

c'mon now.....was there ever a doubt????![]()
fairly efficient, 16 pitches is OK against this lineup
The Yankees are now 206-1 when Mariano has been asked to protect a four-run lead.
Have I mentioned yet that I really don't wanna be facing the RSox right now?
a) right after the Mets series
b) we just faced them a couple weeks ago, gotta spread this out.

I hate the unbalanced schedule for many reasons. 19 Sox games is just one of them.Originally Posted by ZYanksRule

Is almost looked like ARod's bat speed was really slow right there. It looks like he is REALLY tentative swinging the bat.

i agree....i don't mind these home-and-home series....but they really should be more spread out over the course of the season....after these three games that'll be 10 out of 45 games against the Sox...the rivalry is too intense for that many games against each other....
It seems like a month.Originally Posted by 26 and counting

I wonder if the team wasn't so beat up right now, if Posada would be given some more time off?

Honestly what he's throwing isn't spectacular, we're just making it really easy for him by striking out on ballsOriginally Posted by ZYanksRule

i think hes throwing good pitches...that splitter that jorge struck out on was a nasty pitch..and before that he had a high fastball..soo hes been change planes with his pitches...and he elevated that fastball to cano...thats just good pitch sequence so far...i obviously think we have hitters that can still hit that...but its not like hes throwing garbage up there
wow, I thought that ball was gone.

Since the all star break last year, Varitek is like a .240 hitter.

He definitely does. No pitcher likes Sheff roping one down the 3B line only to be followed up by ARod. Easy to get rattled.Originally Posted by destiNY
