I like Cano...but any lineup that has him hitting 5th is gonna have major problems scoring runs

    Jesus Montero since June 1 (286 at-bats):
    .325/.386/.605/.991
    July 1 (182 at-bats):
    .348/.417/.658/1.075

He's hitting the ball well lately. His BA is gonna be useful because he's in a position to drive in runs.

    Koronka has very good numbers
The Yankees are now 206-1 when Mariano has been asked to protect a four-run lead.

These next few weeks are going to be brutal. The Yanks current offense is better only than the Royals at the moment. Our pitching hasn't been very inspiring either. Torre has his heart set on ruining every outing by throwing in Sturtze or Erickson if the starter doesn't go 8.

Resigning Bernie was probably the worst off season move made by any team in baseball. I love the guy but he is not an everyday player.

I never thought about that. I figured you throw to where the bag is, and when the runner gets there at the same time, then you haven't missed by much.

So the runner went home from 3B after being hit in the back by Damon's thrown ball?

Take a look at 6 thru 9.....it rivals that of a AAA lineup. And when Posada and Cano have to hit 4th and 5th....not good.
