Extremly threatening letters and voicemails sent to ESPN.

Warning, the link contains explicit (though censored) threats to various ESPN personalities.

Pretty scary, I wonder why it took ESPN so long to get this guy

Re: Extremly threatening letters and voicemails sent to ESPN.

The defendant left the following voice message on Sportscaster A’s voicemail on October 27, 2004 (Red Sox fans note the date):

“You can take your New York Jew a** and go the f***en home. I'm glad you're on tonight you mother f***er because you got to see history, you f***ing New York f***ing c***sucker. They won and every f***ing curse and everything you f***ing idiots from that city and nationally are done and I'm going to go up there and beat you’re a** anyways. F*** you.”
For any of us that were at game 6 and 7 (and this is an extreme case) but this was the attitude and in your face antagonism at the stadium and bars in midtown, from my expierence. Never heard any racial, ethnic slurs so not sure what this guy has against Jews from NY. Counseling seems to be in order.

I've posted on these topics before and with each "event" it just drives the point even more.

Eventually, there will be protective walls to seperate 'fans" from the players. Increased security, preventive measures and surveillance will all come out of our pockets b/c of the few idiots out there.

Pretty scary, but his threats would be taken much more seriously IMO if he didn't threaten to kill about a dozen anchors. You obviously have to take drastic measures when someone says something like this, but you also can't take him as seriously, because it's hard to imagine him going up there and killing ALL of them.

Is there someone on Espn that is Jewish? Why would that be a focal point for his threats?
Hopefully they send him to some sort of "reprograming" his motherboard seems to be messed up.

I wonder where he works? Imagine working next to that guy for 9 hours.

The only guy I could think of was Mike Greenberg (I think he's Jewish?), but there could be more. I usually watch ESPNEWS instead of SportsCenter, so I'm not certain.

Jeremy Schaap I believe is Jewish. I remember the report done about Bobby Fischer (one-time chess prodigy) and how anti-Semetic and realistically insane he seemed. He said terrible things about Schaap's father, but it was blatantly obvious that Schaap was Jewish. Although Greenberg could be the one being referred to with the whole New York reference I guess.

I've never been a fan of [Sportscaster B], either.

In all seriousness, though, that's messed up. Hopefully he gets the help he needs.

That guy sounded like he was really close to doing something really bad. Good thing they got him when they did.

Greenberg is Jewish, and from New York. I'm not sure if anyone else on ESPN is, so this could be directed towards him.

I think the picture that some of us are missing is that this man does indeed need to be taken seriously, because he is not mentally intact. The man believes that he is being ripped off by ESPN, he believes his phones are tapped, and that these personalities are "out to get him." He is not an "idiot," "a tough guy behind a computer," or someone that we "can't take as seriously," because given the chance, and during a time of great stress, he WOULD go and attack these people. This man is not the same as those that heckle opposing fans inappropriately at games, or chuck batteries in the bullpen. Those people do it because they think it is funny, or because they think it is their "right." The man in this lawsuit is doing it because he is paranoid and believes that the ESPN personalities can see inside his head through his TV.

Now forget how crazy that sounds for a sec, and ask yourself, "What would I do if this group of people were able to see inside my head, steal my thoughts and ideas, and laugh at me every night as they watched me through the TV set? How nervous would it make me? How much stress would it cause? How do I make them stop?" That is the life that this man is leading. He is a mentally ill individual that needs some serious therapy, and should be taken very seriously until he works out whatever issues are going on in his life.
