for those who think i am just stat padding against TB, it's much closer than a sure thing with Wright starting.

    what's wrong with Robbie?
The Yankees are now 206-1 when Mariano has been asked to protect a four-run lead.

not to mention that when it does have the YES feed, the audio is CBS radio instead of the YES broadcast...plus you can't see the score or anything

Glad the game last night was cancelled because my mlb.tv didn't "automatically renew BEFORE the next period" until today. (I'm on the monthly plan because I won't need it after this month)
I have to return some videotapes.

A good (Mets fan) buddy of mine just dumped it for MLBEI after being a happy MLB.tv customer since its inception. He said he thought that it was related to the fact that they were using their own media player this year.

i am betting that there will be an inning when Bernie strikes out, Cano doubles, Phillips flies out, and Stinnet grounds out. thus wasting Cano's double in every way possible.

As long as Bernie is batting Righty, i don't have a huge problem with him battin 6th. Especially considering not having Sheff or Posada in there today. I would NOT bat Stinnett or Phillips before Bernie. And Joe is going to hit a right-handed bernie in front of Cano against a left-hander.

I don't expect it to happen now since Sheffield is out, but when he comes back, Torre has to juggle the 3-6 spots in the lineup. Maybe that will get A-Rod and Matsui going. It also wouldn't hurt if Matsui got a day off, but unfortunately his streak means a lot to him.

Wright, who has made just two starts this season, flew ahead to Tampa on Tuesday. In his last start, Wright allowed four runs in five innings, showing a little more consistency than he had in his first two appearances of the season.

... [Torre said] "[Wright] pitched well last time, so I want to see two starts in a row, see if we can get something going with him."

Chacon's next start will come on Saturday in Texas, as the Yankees didn't want to push Randy Johnson and Mike Mussina, who are scheduled to start Thursday and Friday, back beyond their regular five-day schedule.

"We don't want to mess with Randy and Moose," Torre said. "Later in the year, when the extra day may have helped, it probably would have been easier to work it. Right now, Moose had his throw day today, which sets him up to pitch on the fifth day."
