That is correct. I've created a new default style with elements of each. Having one template styleset will make it much easier to maintain the forum moving forward. If there are any aspects of the template that you'd like to see changed, let me know and I'll look into it.

Not me, the new style seems more "organized-looking" if you ask me, but then again you didn't.

Does look like a combo of both.

I'd like the 'quick reply' box back...I used that a lot.

I cannot seem to even get the default style. When I logged on it was there then it switched to "diet nyyf". Very disturbing format I am trying to work with here. But I am sure a fix is on the way.

    edit: its fixed. weird.

Clear your History (or Cache if you use Firefox) and you'll start over again.

Now that one problem is fixed, is there a "new posts" icon somewhere new that I am missing? Lawd, I don't handle change well.

Which new posts icon (there are several areas where there is a link to 'new posts')?

I don't think Quick Reply is working for me. When I click on a "Quick reply to this message" the quick reply box doesn't get activated. Anyone else having this problem? I'm on Firefox 1.5.0.1.

I think we used to be able to type right in the box, now you have to hit the QR icon in a post...either way, it's better than opening a reply window.

This current style is annoying imo. The user area off to the left is adifferent length depending on the length of the person's username...makes it so that some people's text appears off the screen.

Yes, I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.1. I see the quick reply section at the bottom and just like it says, I clicked on the quick reply icon next to someone's post, but it didn't do anything. I even logged out and logged back in.

The one thing that didn't carry over to the newest version was the 'multi-quote' feature, and I miss it already...

Yep, now it works. I used the QR box to type this message. Thanks!

One other thing (I like the way the "new posts" link tells you which ones are new and which ones are unread), but it seems that a thread that I post in disappears from the "user cp" subscriptions list until there's a new post in it.

Just copy the comment/statement and then put the quote tags around it. You can reply to multiple posts in one post, you just have to do everything manually.

Loved multi quote. even if you only ended up responding to one post, It allowed you to read an entire thread, then respond to whatever post(s) you had checked without scrolling back up to find them.

I was an old style guy too, but I'll get used to everything else. I adapt well for a middle aged crumudgeon.

I'm still getting used to the fact that the User CP subscription list will only show those that have new replies. Earlier it showed the latest ones.

There's a link called "View all Subscribed Threads" - does that do what you need it to?

It happened when I hit quote and it also happened when I started a thread. However, earlier, it showed me code instead of quoting in HTML. Now, however, it quotes HTML, so it must be fixed. Also the background color went from white to grey.

As far as the other thing, what I used to do was just click on User CP and that would show me all the threads I'd posted in recently and then I'd click on it again 5 minutes later and it would change order depending on whether there were new posts in one of my subscribed threads. The threads I'd already read were also still visible. If I wanted to see ALL subscribed threads, I'd click on the link you provided above.

Now what it does is, User CP shows me my latest subscribed threads, but if there isn't a new post, it doesn't show it.

So say there are three threads all with new posts within the past 5 minutes. I click on one of them and post an entry then click user cp again. The thread that I just posted in disappears from that list leaving the other two. Then if someone else posts in that thread, it re-appears. That never happened. It always stayed (thought it wasn't bolded) and showed my post as the last post.

One question; your number of posts used to appear underneath your location, and now it doesn't. Did you remove that permanently, or is that just a glitch?

With the exception of the 5 or 6 hours between when I re-opened the upgraded forum and when I made the change that removed the post count, it never appeared underneat the location. I'll have to re-add it so that it appears when you hover over the username.

Okay one more question [I know I'm whining and I apologize]. When I go to reply to a thread, if I want to add a smilie and I click on the link "more" underneath the visible smilies, nothing happens. I can't even click on the smilies that are visible to add them.

I just tested it out and I think I see what you mean. The UserCP by default will only show you subscribed threads that are classified as 'unread'. To get to the screen I believe you're talking about, click on the link (upper left corner) that says New Subscribed Threads. If that doesn't give you what you want, then I'm afraid that's just something that's different in this new version of the software -- sorry .
