I would watch wrestling again if they brought back Macho Man Randy Savage and the Ultimate Warrior. Those two guys ruled.
Nice to see a new thread. Although if we kept going, the old WrestleMania 21 thread could have started becoming a contender for longest thread.

why would TNA bring in Goldberg?
People know him. TNA needs to get stars that people recognize. Once people are drawn in by those names, they will see how great the X-Division is, and will be hooked.
TNA should try to get the Rock to sign an appearance-based contract. I know Rocky and Jeff Jarrett are good friends, and it appears right now that the Rock and WWE are at odds and arent interested in working together anymore....Rock is not under contract to WWE right now. I've heard some rumors that Jarrett would really like Rock to work for him, and supposedly they have had some talks about it.
Signing Rock and have him showing up on Impact a few times, maybe take place in an angle of some sort....that would be HUGE and it would definetly get alot of people to watch the TNA product.

TNA has shown interest in Rock, Bret Hart, and Jericho. If they're willing to pay them (they have the money, don't think they don't. Panda Energy alone has ten times what Vince has.), all three would be willing to come in and do some work (Hart can't wrestle, obviously, but his presence alone would bring great ratings.) Jarrett is close to Rock, Scott D'Amore is close with Bret Hart, and Jericho is also friends with D'Amore, and is still friends with Christian. Infact, I heard that Jericho would sign with TNA if they paid him what they're paying Sting, which is about $500K.

Since the WWF/E separated Raw and Smackdown into two separate brands and outside of the Royal Rumble, Summerslam, Survivor Series, and Wrestlemania, which brand PPV do you perfer watching? Raw PPVs or Smackdown PPVs?

Depends on which brand is hotter at the time. Neither brand puts out spectacular PPVs and the great majority of the time, the brand PPVs pretty much suck, but overall, I'd say SmackDown has had the stronger PPVs, just by a tiny bit. Right now, they're both pretty bad, although SmackDown's relatively strong performance at No Way Out does give them the edge.

I have never actually purchased a PPV. I have attended WCW and WWE PPVs in person, had a black box for most of the late 90's/early 2000s, but never actually purchased a PPV. If I did it would be RAW, since I really don't watch SD as much.
I was never a big fan of the brand split so I don't think I'd order a Raw or Smackdown PPV. In fact I haven't ordered a WWE PPV in several years, I just don't think they're worth the money anymore.
JBL hurt himself at the Smackdown tapings and will undergo surgery today.
No word if this will affect Wrestlemania.

I enjoy reading Keller's recaps of Cena segments, because he'll either completely downplay, ignore, or occasionally lie about the boos. "It got boos" doesn't exactly cover it, Wade. Mr. Cena got booed out of the ................ing building everytime he opened his mouth.
I thought HHH cut a pretty good promo last night, he killed Cena calling him the defination of a transition champion, and the crowd was killing Cena. I love how Lawler and Styles tried to pass the boos off on Coach when he was in the ring with them...but the boos just got louder for Cena. It's going to be interersting to see how the wwe plays this out. Looking forward to Sat. night's Main event in a couple of weeks.
I really hope HHH doesnt win the belt. I was pissed when they didnt have RVD win that Triple Threat match with Show and HHH. I actually thought RVD would finally get his chance.

They need some new blood in this company. Everything is getting old and predictable. Push some of the other kids towards championship belts, dont just keep giving them to the obvious vets.
Sadly, I dont think the WWE will ever be able to top the Attitude Era again. That was an amazing time for wrestling. Now, everything is just overplayed and overdone.

The Raw brand, no question. It's hands down a better show than Smackdown.
Even when the WWF/E is still popular, it can't top the WWF Attitude with the new logo, etc.
At least, the WWF/E at the time had the unpredictability factor. Now, ever since the WWE acquired WCW and the ECW wrestlers joined in with Vince McMahon and have the brand split, I have to decide between RAW and Smackdown!

As much as I dislike Cena, at least he's different. HHH being the the Champ again? That's as old and bland as regular oatmeal.
That's why I'm pissed they didnt give RVD a shot. He deserves it.

I just cant understand whay anyone likes HHH. He's awful, annoying as hell, and he's been the champion a bazillion times. When he has the championship, he holds it for god awful lengths of time.
The only time HHH was cool was when he was with DX.
The WWE needs to raid TNA and take some talent away from them. They desperately need someone young and upcoming to take this company by storm.
I hope Big Show interfere's with the match, because if HHH wins the belt, ah-again, it'll be the most boring thing ever. Give the belt to RVD, Carlito, Edge, Kane, Masters, or just anyone new. But please God, dont give it to HHH again.
I love HHH. He's intense, he works hard, and he can actually act (to some degree). RVD has no mic skills. Carlito's entire gimmick is spitting an apple. Edge is okay. Kane is old and dumb. I don't know much about Masters so I won't comment. And Cena just sucks.
Aside from the Divas, HHH is about the only reason to watch the WWE these days. At least he's mildly entertaining with his bad guy shenanigans.

I loved the promo cuz HHH was almost acting like a face, or at least a tweener. I figured he would really try to heel it up...make some bigtime heel remarks (trash the fans...the city etc) and try to turn the crowd. Instead, I got the impression that he enjoyed the crowd cheering him and chanting his name....he certainly didnt do a thing to disuade them. I laughed hysterically at Hunter's one line...."So I guess I'm suppose to be scared of a guy who's one move is pumping up his Reeboks"
I've said all along...that this HHH-Cena feud would be so much better if HHH was the face, and Cena was the heel. Its obvious that the majority of the crowd is gonna cheer Hunter anyways. The fans respect him....and they know he is good. This is the same exact situation they had when they had Angle feuding with Cena.

RVD's mic skills are there. He has the 'laid back stoner' thing he does and it works for him. He's worked just as hard as HHH and is, by far, a better and more entertaining wrestler to watch.
As for the other guys I mentioned, I just mentioned them as a point to how the WWE should mix in a variety when it comes to who they give the belt to.
What the WWE should really look into is hiring new writers to come up with better story lines. They're just recycling the same old stuff over and over. It's as predictable as the sunrise.
Anyone who saw RVD in ECW knows that he has the mic skills. For whatever reason....WWE has NEVER used him in the right way.

I saw RVD in ECW. I have many ECW videos. I didn't like RVD's mic skills then, and I don't like them now. Don't get me wrong, his in ring skills are as good as they come. I just think he sounds like an idiot on the microphone: "Duuude, you're not cool like R.V.D."

I might have that one, but I don't remember to be honest. I think the problem might be (as someone else noted) that the WWE has always tried to push him as a face and never tried him as a heal. Maybe then he wouldn't annoy me on the mic so much. Face promos in general annoy the hell out of me.

Definitely. There are only three guys who have ever made it work, and there is a catch with each:
The Rock
Stone Cold
Hulk Hogan
The Rock & Stone Cold were basically faces that did heel-type promos.
And as much as I love old-school Hogan from a throwback perspective, there's a reason why he switched to the Hollywood persona.
Even The Rock was booed at the re-start of his last full-time run, causing the switch to all-out heel (the Goldberg program).
HHH owned the holy bejesus out of Cena last night. The crowd's reaction just made it even better. I can't wait until HHH takes the belt off that talentless sh1t.

Yea, I was laughing throughout that whole segment. I was really laughing when King and Styles pushed the obvious Cena boos off on Coach. I can't wait for it either. I'm not a HHH fan, but him having the belt is 10 times better than Cena having it.
