Could be...all I heard is that we're not going to see many episodes this spring, maybe in the 7 to 10 range, then the rest will be showed sometime down the road.
    Let the kids play.

I read that this season will be a short season, with the final remaining episodes next fall (I think).

As a note of interest, they've been filming around here for the past few months, though that could only be for a few scenes. It always amazes me how they can shut something down for an entire day, yet the scene only lasts 2 or 3 minutes.

**Warning possible spoilers for Season Six**

Season Six starts next week (March 12) I thought this thread should be bumped... There have been a few "hints" out about Season Six but no real "Spoilers"...yet. Heres some hints I have ran across..

From Newsweek: "there's a Murder, a Suicide, a Shooting, a Maiming and a Fatal Heart Attack in the First Episode alone-that's a lot of violence even by "sopranos" standards. Several episodes take place in a hospital. We see dead people, too. Adriana pops up, smoking literallly and figuratively-she's a pretty sexy ghost. but even she's not a lot of fun."
    http://msnbc.msn.com/id/11675838/site/newsweek/

(wow Janice and Bobby have a baby!)
"The endurance of family is, as always, a major theme in the new season of "The Sopranos." Tony spends a lot of time taking care of Uncle Junior (Janice apparently had a baby during the hiatus and is way too busy). Naturally, facing illness and mortality sends him right back to Dr. Melfi. "Where's the dignity?" he asks her. "I'd rather they hold a pillow over my face."

I read in Entertainment Weekly that they will have 12 episodes on starting March 12, and another 7 in early 2007.

    Re: Sopranos Season 6

The Globe TV writer loves the first four episodes of the Soprano's. He doesn't give away too many details but there is some interesting info.

The action picks up some two years later, and we catch up with the characters in a montage accompanied by a recording of William S. Burroughs reading his poem ''Seven Souls." I won't disclose anything significant here, except to say that an angry Johnny Sack is in prison and Uncle Junior is still in a dubious mental state. ''He's Knucklehead Smith," Tony gripes to Janice. And, in an amusing development that both recalls their bourgeois aspirations and contradicts their identification with rich Italian food, Tony and Carmela have become rabid sushi fans. Not that Tony is healthier now; he's fatter than ever, while closeted gay mobster Vito Spatafore (Joseph Gannascoli) appears to have trimmed down.
The article also mentions there are 12 episodes airing now and the final 8 will air in January.

Regis Philbin said on one of his shows this week that he attended a private screening of the 1st two episodes of the new season. His comment was that "you will not believe how episode 1 ends", and that episode 2 is "very strong".

Me too. I haven't been very impressed the past few seasons, so this one better be good because I'm excited for it.

    Re: Sopranos Season 6

Regis said yesterday that he went to see a special viewing of the first 2 episodes, and he said the first episode ws an hour of twists and turns and shocked him thouroughly

I enjoyed that last 2 seasons, it wasn't like the first 3 but it was still great TV. I think a lot of people were a bit dissapointed that there wasn't 4 whacks an episode

This is correct. 12 and 8 is the split. It was also said that post-production is wrapping this March on the final 8.

    Sounds like some good entertainment!

Not so sweet when she sets herself on fire cooking breakfast ....OUCH!...Did you see that episode?

Somebody needs to start a Sopranos Poll:
    Who gets murdered?
    Who commits suicide?
    Who gets shot?
    Who gets maimed?
    Who has fatal heart attack?

    Thoughts anyone???

    My guesses are:
    Murdered.....Phil
    Shot.....Anthony Jr.
    Suicide.....Christopher
    Maimed....Janice
Fatal heart attack....Vito...weight loss?...fuggedaboudit...he was a heart attack waiting to happen..

I think Phil will get murdered. There was heat between Chris and Phil, so I think Chris will get shot. We can only pray its Janice that commits suicide. Im thinkin Uncle Junior takes the heart attack. I dont know who the hell gets maimed, maybe Paulie...

I'm a little anooyed with the Eugene storyline. Over the last couple seasons, they've introudced a million faceless characters and expect us to know exactly who they are when they pop up in a big story. This guy was vaguely familiar, but not enough that i cared about his plight.

    Otherwise, awesome show.

That hanging scene was pretty graphic though. I had my hand over my mouth the entire time.

    And the ending...HOLY SH*T.

OK, I'm glad someone else feels the same way. I have a ................ty memory and I don't even remember that guy. I was confused as to why he was so prevalent in this episode.

He's definitely been on the show before, but I dont know if it was anything beyond being part of a crowd.

What did Uncle Junior say before he shot Tony? I was so shocked to see him with the gun that I wasn't paying attention. It was something in Italian.
