I'm trying a new crockpot pepper steak recipe...if it comes out good, I'll share tomorrow. If not, I will hang my head in shame.

Yum, pepper steak. I definitely want the recipe if it comes out good!

Cooking the chicken soup now. It smells so good.

I made a french bread in the bread machine, but I don't know. The crust is really hard.

The only one I've been to in NJ was at the Menlo Park Mall, and we waited 90 minutes. Definitely not that one. This was in the Mall at Millenia in Orlando.

That's the one we go to...90 minutes isn't even that bad. I've gone shopping after leaving my name before.

i think Florida is different - we've gone to the one in Tampa a few times and there is never a wait.

I like that place too. The one in Chicago is almost always crowded, except on early Monday or Tuesday evenings.

Re: What's on the menu this evening?

No one's eating lately? The crockpot pepper steak was good but too liquidy - I have to "play" with the recipe before I post it.

Apparently tonight I'm having wheat thins - JP called to tell me he's stuck in traffic and doesn't want to make a delivery man come out in this weather so I should just eat now, which would make more sense if I had planned on cooking dinner tonight, so I'm nibbling wheat thins.

stuffed red peppers - w/ground turkey breast, brown rice, sliced pimento-stuffed green olives, white mushrooms, asst spices (garlic, cumin, cilantro, parsley, salt&pepper) -- cooked with a can of crushed tomtatoes.

dessert - my mother's recipe for Italian plum cake. (smells so good)

It's been years since I smoked a turkey so I'm giving it a shot today. I'd rather experiment on this bird instead of the Thanksgiving Day one.

Any ideas besides basting it and covering the exposed areas near the heat?
