I got all kinds of stuff in me for the face/mouth/tooth. Vicadon (sp?) seems to work best. Tomorrow I'll have soup.

just put a little bit on the pizza. or, dipping it is cool too, as long as the toppings don't slide off. Just give it a shot

Let me know when y'all whip up my recipe

I don't know what I'm making tonight. Probably not cooking because I have to take my daughter ti the dentist later, so we'll probably stop at Wendy's.

LOL, Well, the kids like it and there's one on our way home from the dentist/ortho, so when we go there, we usually stop at Wendy's.
And Wendy's is my favorite out of the big 3 (McDs, BK and Wendy's).

But we didn't go last night. We ordered chinese food instead when I got home.

We had homemade meatballs in BBQ sauce, which I had big doubts about, but which my daughter requested. And of course she then wouldn't eat. They were fine, but I dunno. The BBQ sauce just seemed wrong. What else can you dunk meatballs in besides tomato sauce?

I had a good recipe for sweet and sour meatballs. They were delicious. Off the top of my head, the recipe had cranberry sauce and orange juice, bu I can't remember what else. I can try and find the recipe.

Also, there's always Swedish meaballs, which is in a brown gravy.

    You and your applesauce!
If you like it that much, it's really easy to make honemade.
Basically you just peel and cut up the apples, then put them in a pan with a little water and add sugar, cinammon, and a little nutmeg. When the apples start to soften up you can mash them with a potato masher or blend it in the blender if you like it smooth.

Swedish Meatballs are made with a sour cream sauce I believe...... but beware, relying on my knowledge of cooking is taking your life in your hands.

But if it were a musical about cooking you'd be all over it!

Swedish meatballs are in a browinish sauce, I can't remember if sour cream is involved or not, however.

It is wrong! Meatballs should only be in tomato sauce.

swedish meatballs are possibly an exception.

Re: What's on the menu this evening?

I bought a cool cookbook at the book fair. It's really got simple recipes in it, but the pictures got me.
Tonight I am making dinner from it:
Cola Roast. It sounds good. You use a can of cola, some chili sauce and worstcestershire sauce. I can't wait to try it.
Then some individual apple pies for dessert.

This might sound crazy but: a mixture of Heinz Chili Sauce and grape jelly. It's really a crock pot recipe (that was given to me at a shower) - one I thought I'd never try and like, but I did and they weren't bad.

I went to some party once and the meatballs were amazingly good and the hostess said that she used grape jelly.

Tonight I had some pineapple and then a shell steak with spinach and brown rice.

Re: What's on the menu this evening?

I just got back from BLT Burger here in the West Village. Coke,Caesar salad and Turkey Burger.

I ordered them seperate, they brought them out together, Coke was flat, salad had no anchovies (pardonable, but barely), bun was so soggy I had to take it off. Gal at the table next to me was yapping away on her phone/PDA, already in a foul mood I asked for the check without having any dessert--lucky I left or there might have been casulties.
They just opened up but the place needs work.
Still hungry, I am contemplating hitting Gray's Papaya for the recession special.

I'm going to make some English Style Fish & Chips. I'll be using some fillet of sole this evening because it smelled the freshest ... so I bought it.

I'll use lots of malt vinegar when I eat mine.

There isn't any here. I don't drink very much beer at all. I only get a six-pack now and then if I know my dad is stopping by. I do use some on that beer for cooking. Beer batter stuff. Maybe on a tri-tip.

My dad will drink 2 bottles at most ... if even that. I usually have enough left for the next time he comes over.

I'd rather have ginger ale with my fish.

It's just in the language. Although I've eaten potato chips or what one may call a sort of a small potato fried that is sort of chunked that can be fried the same way or with less oil.

The cola roast came out good, but not as flavorful as I'd hoped. I would make it again, but this time in the pot on the stove instead of in the oven.

I also made beer bisuits. 4 cups of Bisquick, 12 oz beer and 1/4 cup sugar. Put in muffin tins, sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake at 425 for 15 minutes.
    They were yummy!

I didn't know what to think when I saw what you had said the other day about trying out that roast. So it was good then? What is the cola supposed to do?

    Your biscutts sound really good!

I'm not exactly sure what the cola was for, other than to add something sweet to the gravy. The gravy was very tasty. I added onions too, which were not in the original recipe.

I could eat steak every night.

Tonight I still haven't cooked. We came back from the bowling alley around 6 pm and then my son had some leftover pot roast.
