You might be surprised how tasty it is if it was prepared right. The worst thing people do is overcook it so hopefully it won't be dry.

The bf makes good venison chili, so hopefully he'll get it right with this too. He has a lot of buddies who hunt so we get moose, elk, and venison pretty frequently.

I'm making the Mongolian beef. I was too lazy to print or copy it over, so I have the laptop on the kitchen counter.

Don't you love being a short order cook? Some nights I'll do it, other nights I'll tell them to go scratch.

I just put a pork chop/apple/onion thing in the crock pot.

The venison meat loaf was pretty good! I may have the leftovers this eve but my tummy is bothering me a bit from some pizza I had for lunch.

I bought the ingredients for the crock-pot chicken paprikash I will be attempting tomorrow. Key word--attempting! It involves browning the chicken beforehand, something I've never actually done before.

I threw the recipe away. It was just ok, and I won't make it again.

    What the heck is that?

Me, the salad and sammich thing. Very few things in the house (other than an avocado), and I wasn't able to get to my usual salad add-on place. Blech.

At least the sammich is good.

    I didn't.

It came out really good. I used light brown sugar instead of dark like the recipe called for, and it was good, but would have been better with the dark I think. Next time.

Last night was deli sandwiches and tonight we are going out for Hibachi for Shannen's birthday!

Us heathens are having Thanksgiving all over again. Mr. LDG decided it was time to cook a 22 lb. turkey. FOR 3 PEOPLE.

You won't be needing one of those legs and a wing, right? Thought not.

I had the other 1/2 of my sammich, and couldn't even touch my salad earlier, so I finished it this morning.

I'll have po'k chops and applesauce tonite.

I've been trying to figure out the ast 20 years what an "individual can of ____" is at a coffee shop. Do they open a can of tuna or sardines, and add it to a salad? I've never figured out what that meant.

Well, I guess you'll be eating turkey for awhile! I had turkey and stuffing at the diner the other night - it was delicious!

Yup - it's supposed to be fasting (1 meal and 2 snacks but the snacks can't be as much food as a whole meal) and no meat today and then no meat every Friday from now till Easter (except Good Friday is also a fasting day).
