    Spring Training

Anyone planning on going to ST this year? I have tickets to the 3/4, 3/6, 3/7, 3/8 and 3/9 home games. I plan to stay in Clearwater Beach

I'll be in Florida the last two weeks in March, but on the other coast.

I'm hoping to go. I'd love some Legends Field tickets, but I'm not sure if they're all sold out. If I can't score some then I'll probably catch the closest road game they have.

Legends sells out almost immediately. The Phillies, D-Rays, and I think Dodgers are very close to Tampa.

I remember going to Tampa for ST like 5 years ago, and along with Legends, I believe those were the place we went to to catch the Yanks.

I live a couple of hours away from Tampa, I'll have to check the Spring Training schedule. I went with my father, friend, and girlfriend to catch the Yanks versus the Tigers in Lakeland and everyone had a great time. My dad isn't in to sports but he was really into that game. Unfortunately for us Kevin Brown started the game and gave up 3 earned in 2 innings I believe.

    Re: Spring Training

I'm in. I have tickets to Legends 3/23 and 3/26. Tickets for 3/25 vs Tampa Bay at Al Lang Field in St Petersburg go on salethis saturday and I plan to get that game as well. I highly recommend it to anyone that will be down there on that day.

I cannot say enough about the DRays ST field. They claim it seats 6000 but they must be counting standing room and the berm because it feels like a high school stadium. If you choose to sit on the berm, you do not have access to the rest of the stadium but the seats are only $7 and you can sit within spitting distance of the Yankee bullpen. You can actually listen in on the conversation if you so choose. Another very cool thing is that you can shag balls on the sidewalk during batting practice. And if all that was not enough, the field is on the water and the view is gorgeous.

    Re: Spring Training

I'll be in Orlando from 3/24 through 3/26... I'd love to rack up a couple tickets to the game on the 24th (I'm aware that Fort Myers is a 4 hour drive, I'm jones-ing, OK)... I won't have time the other two days as I have other commitments for Saturday and Sunday. I called the Twins box office and they said they are sold out for the Yankees. However, if anyone has a better suggestion than STUBHUB, I'm all ears!

I live right outside Tampa and right when the tickets went on sale my mom was on the phone all day and it kept saying they were sold out but my friend's dad might be able to hook us up with some tickets from his buisness.

I went for the first time last spring and it was fantastic. Sat 2nd row behind the Yankee bench... I believe I'll be going again this year too but I'm not sure which game yet.

Bump. Anyone else beside myself and NOME going to be at games from the 5th through 10th? Just 2 weeks to go!

It's 20 degrees here, still plenty of winter weather ahead, and I'm going to be watching the Yankees play 2 weeks from today.....hard to comprehend.

Andy - PM is still off, so if we're not in contact this week I'll walk to your seat sometime during Monday's game.

    Bob,

That's great. I have your seat numbers (I think) and I know you have mine. I'll have a beer waiting.
We leave Friday and will enjoy the beach for the day. If I thought I could have gotten tickets for their away games on Fri and Sunday, both are close to where we are staying. But five games is enough. And they are all sold out now anyway. I need time to Play. My wife also has two cousins in Orlando which we may visit on Sunday. For your info we are staying at the Holiday Inn Sun Spree Resort in Clearwater Beach.

You guys will really love ST so much I know you'll want toi make it a yearly event.

Have fun and we look forward to seeing you.
I'll be wearing a "Papa Joe's, Islamorada, Fishing Hat with a black Tennis shirt with a Corvette logo on it.

I know for a fact that a forum member by the S/N of "mr G" is already down there and plans on being down there for a month. He's a very knowledgeable yankee fan & a nice guy I met personally a couple of years ago at Y.S.
He'll probably be wearing a yankee shirt.

Hey, I'd post his picture for ya, but I gotta respect the man's privacy, ya know! Okay, one more clue - he's from Jersey. That might narrow it down to a thousand or so.
Anyway, if you guys run into him, be sure you tell him Tex says howdy.

Edit: Seriously, I hope you guys have a great time down there.

I've got a Bronx-Bombers T-Shirt from the first Forum Party. I'll wear it and see if anyone recognizes it.
