They usually always merge when the games at 10 dont they? I think the exception might have been when Stephanie and Bobby Jon's team got demolished

Most times they do. In Thailand, they waited one extra person until merging which doomed Shi-Ann. She was already flipping and talking about it and then the surprise comes of no merge and she's gone instantly.

Burnett did us a favor with Shi-Ann

Not really, when he put her (10th place in Thailand) in All-Stars.

Re: Survivor Panama Exile Island Thread

Just finished watching the finale. Here goes...

1.) That final challenge pissed me off the minute I saw it. Burnett completely stacked the deck against Terri, and to a lesser extent Aras. That type of balancing immediately crucifies the bigger body mass. It was almost designed to give Danielle the win.

2.) Aras is a little bitch. There are no two ways about it. His threatening of Danielle was lame. Take it like a man and just deal with the fact that either a.) you couldn't last as long on the floatee as she could or b.) you trusted the single biggest snake in the game. Watching him go from begging to threatening his way into the final two when his own skill couldn't get him there was embarressing. Whatever merits he may have had as a physical contestant were blown by his being a little bitch.

3.) Danielle. Not only is she a snake, but a dumb one at that. Aras threatens the moron with losing votes if she takes Terri...which means those votes will go to Aras if she takes him instead. Dumbass. She had to know she had NO chance against either guy and should have done the right thing and selected Terri. And actually, if you really want to break it down, she had a better shot against Terri if you think about it. There is the small chance the jury votes along tribal lines and spites Terri. Again, it's a small chance but small chance vs. zero chance against Aras makes it almost a no-brainer.

    Another very disappointing finale.

I read that Burnett contacted every single Survivor contestant they had on the show, so its not a surprise she came back on

I agree that the challenge was more geared to smaller lighter weight person.

I think Terri was fine until Jeff began the countdown. You could definitely tell that he was panicked just to get up on the platform.

If Danielle would have given Aras the nod then taken Terri to the final two... would that have been the biggest con of the season?

One more thing - Cirie really is a jerk. The fact that she would have voted for Danielle over Terri if he had made it to the final two proves what a spiteful asshole she is. Life journey my ass. You know what she's doing right now? Eating something while sitting her fat ass on her couch.

That probably would have bought her a vote or two if she screwed Aras. I can't believe Aras risked 1mil by accepting a nod to jump off frm Danielle, idiot

It would have been f*cking brilliant. If you're gonna snake your way to $500,000, why stop at the very end?

On another note, I have the reunion show on in the background and I can't stand the fellating of Cirie. She proved nothing and is a spiteful bitch.

The hate of Cirie is strong with you today.

    On a side note:
Watching the re-runs of Bobby single chopping those heads off the tunas was one the coolest things this season. Especially after Bruce was taking 5-6 hacks to cut off the tail.

I agree. I thought the same exact thing. Danielle is very small so she clearly had the advantage in that challenge. It was almost like they didn't want it to be predictable with Terry winning the final challenge so they threw that one in.

I was so disappointed that I stopped watching and popped in here and there during the reunion show. My heart was out of it when Terry left.

It would have been far worse if Terri had been in the final two and lost. And if Aras was the other one, I bet that's exactly what would have happened.

Am I the only one who disliked Terry? I don't know, he gave me a complete "asshole" vibe and he played the mental game extremely poorly (it seemed like every person he aligned with got voted off -- he only survived because of all of the immunity wins and the idol).

Survivor has never been about the "brawn". The only person who had the mental and physical game who actually won the whole thing was Brian from S5 (although there may have been another that I can't think about). Ethan was close, but the later seasons sometimes blend for me. I know Jenna, Vecepia, Sandra (was the closes of the women), the girl from last year (Erin?), Chris (from a season I forget, but I think he almost got voted off the first episode for screwing up a challange), Tina (Colby was the most comparable to Terry, but I liked him more) and Amber were far from physical threats... and Amber only won because her boyfriend dragged her through the entire thing.

I was just glad Danielle didn't win. She would've made Vecepia winning look like genius game play. A Terry/Aras or Terry/Cirie final two probably would've been more interesteding than Aras/Danielle, though.

I think the previews for next season will be exciting. It will be in the Cook Islands and Survivor will have the same Exile Island concept with new twists. Should be exciting.
I have no faith in their twists anymore. While Exile Island was cool, the whole "4 tribes for the first time ever" lasted all of one episode, despite the massive hype for the concept.

What part of the "mental game" was he supposed to play? The entire tribe was aligned against him and told him every chance they got he would be first to go the moment the opportunity presented itself. They're the first tribe in history to actually stick to an alliance, so good for them but bad for Terri. Basically, the strategy part of the game was taken away from him so he was left with only the physical, which put him at a tremendous disadvantage. The fact that he overcame it up until the very end speaks volumes about what he's made of.

He tried to barter by giving away his immunity idol, and they stuck together. absolutely nothing he could've done

Yet two of the last three seasons before this we've seen someone overcome 6-1 numbers. Both Danni and Chris managed to win being down 6-1. So yes Terry was remarkable in challenges, but considering that two people recently have WON after being down 6-1, him getting 3rd after being down 6-1 is not that remarkable.

Danni and Chris were seen as pawns to take to the final 2 to get 4 votes from former tribemates. The bond between the tribes against Danni and Chris lasted all of 2 seconds and they didnt see them as a threat anymore, Terry was gone the minute he lost immunity, yet still managed to swing votes towards Cirie when he lost

How did he swing votes to Cirie? Danielle knew that Terry had the Hidden Immunity Idol. Basically the only person she could vote for was Cirie.

I could hear you cheering when her fire didn't hold up and also booing when she was handed keys to a car.

    I thought Terry deserved a 2nd car.

she didnt know it was the immunity idol, remember he showed it to her and she said that she thought he was lying. She said the same thing in the finale episode when Terry showed it to them

She was given a f*cking car? Must have happened during the reunion show. I only watched the first 10 minutes or so.

................ Cirie. I hope the car gets totaled parked outside of whatever supermarket she's in buying more Ho Ho's.

Yes it was during the reunion show. The American public voted online. Same car as Terry's.

This just in-Aras sprinted down to the nearest IRS office and paid his taxes!

Wonder if Burnett is thinking of filming a season of Survivor in prison. Hate to see what the "reward" challenges are!
