I think the blonde that was friends with Misty is so naturally beautiful. Misty looked funky by day six, but the other girl was still glowing.

Yeah, so far it seems there are actually players that will for once not fall into the typical traps of the show. I'm really liking this season thus far.

Can't say I agree. The bug bites just weren't doing it for me. She isn't even the hottest on this cast.

Re: Survivor Panama Exile Island Thread

Week 4 - InGame Play By Play 1st Period

Crowd filing inside the Reality TV Arena...

Dan wants to bring Ruth Marie into his alliance.

A Misty fan in the upperdeck wired for sound: Ruth Marie walks like Shane. Weird.

Ruth Marie may walk like Shane, but me tell you something: Maybe they are long lost brother and sister

Looks like Sally is not part of the in-group at La Mina.

premature chicken counting that 5 of them will make the merge

    Snail chowder.

    A Dan fan in the skybox: That's right...we men/hunters you women/cook

Over at Casaya, the men bring home snails, the women do nothing, apparently.

Looks like an ambitious bunch there.

A Survivor insider in press row: Courtney is a stupid woman. Glad to see there are still dumb bimbos around on Survivor

Aras is talking about losing on purpose in order to get rid of Courtney. Oh yeah, that's always a good idea.

OHHH YIPPEE!! Another puzzle in the water challenge.

A Peanut vendor in the lowerbowl seats: Cirie loves the drama between her tribemates. I don't like her but I'm kind of hoping she'll stick around a while.

Until Bruce showed up....I don't remember seeing Shane and Aras doing much around camp but sleeping.

A reward of toilet paper! LOL! Crowd chants: holy sh*t!

Charmin so they can T.P. the other tribes camp.
    Or not.

Where do they get rid of the charmin once it has been used?

Reward challenge is a floating puzzle. To the winners go bathroom supplies: towels, toilet paper, fresh water, toilet seat, etc.

Sally up against Bobby. She gets her piece first.

They seem to be neck and neck

Re: Survivor Panama Exile Island Thread

Week 4 - InGame Play By Play 2nd Period

Casaya wins the reward, by solving the puzzle fastest. They got the pieces into the "hub" at about the same time. And they decide to send Terry to Exile Island.

Who is better prepared than Terry for Exile Island? Besides, he was instrumental in deciding Bruce should go back. Let him try it out. Of course, he might find the idol. He didn't seem too upset about being sent. His alliance is probably strong and loyal, what does he have to worry about?

They're coming up with some really good challenges this season
Last week's was my favorite....it'll be hard to top that one.

What was with Shane and that little yelpy laugh when they chose Terry?

La Mina should have been solving the puzzle each time a piece was added and maneuvering under the guise of "making space" for the next piece.

So who will get the first dump?

Casaya gets a bathroom with toilet and shower.

Shane wants to store firewood in the outhouse, Bobby wants to do a #2. I Got a Deuce to Drop.

A Survivor TV analyst: Oh my god. He used the bathroom to go to the bathroom, what a terrible person he is...

Oooooh - the idol is beneath a rock!

Terry finds the Idol in his 1st try.

He figured it out quick. So much for the water barrel.
Yes Shane, Terry is in Hell, you a$$ They just handed him safety at any time

    Crowd chanting: a****le towards Shane.

And given the pecking order of the tribe, he should be able to hang onto it until after the merge at least.

I guess Jiffy wasn't kidding when he told Misty he told her all she needed to know where to look for the idol. Who knew it'd be that obvious?

ETA: What would happen if someone knew he had the idol and stole it from him? I don't think they'd be able to use it themselves but what if they threw it in the water or buried it in the woods? What then?

Re: Survivor Panama Exile Island Thread

Week 4 - InGame Play By Play 3rd Period

A beer vendor in the upperdeck: I wonder if he'll tell his buddy Dan, or keep it a secret.

A Shane fan in the upperdeck: He seems cocky and arrogant to me. I compare him to someone like Tom, and they seem to have the same level of competence (probably, a bit hard to tell so far), but Tom was so much more modest. Not that I hate Terry or anything, but his "boys only" clubhouse kind of annoys me. Though, to be fair, it's hard to say if that really is chavinism or because his female tribemembers left little to choose from.

Good for Terry! It's a testament to his leadership skills that his tribe is lost without him and doesn't resent him for it.

Here comes more Casaya drama instigated by Shane! Crowd chanting: this is awesome!

Shane giving Danielle a hard time for not working around camp. Good. The more divisive that tribe becomes, the better. Cirie's lovin' it! Crowd chants: holy sh*t! holy sh*t!

Then Shane calls Cirie into it for her opinion. I really am starting to like Cirie more, although she will never live down her "fear of leaves" with me.

The 4 idiot alliances comes tumbling down. Next time (hopefully never) choose your alliances better Shane/Aras

They could drag a T-shirt along and catch fish ...

That would require some common sense

Fishing would be much easier if not for Sally, huh boys.

Oh man. La Mina can't even keep the fire going without Terry?

Bruce looked confused at Jiffy's remark there.

    Ow, this challenge looks HARD!

    Patience required...that leaves out Shane

A Survivor radio play-by-play man in press row: Since Terry found the idol, will they still give clues to others who are exiled? Otherwise wouldn't they know it's been found?

Maybe an untold twist will be more than one immunity idol?

Immunity challenge looks good. Balance beam, buckets of water, raise the person on the swing until they can release the flag.

Shane and Courtney are working well together?!!

    Dan and Terry fell off.

    Casaya wins immunity.

    Now that was CLOSE

Shane and Courtney made up I guess

Week 4 - Inside Tribal Council

A die-hard Survivor fan outside the Reality TV Arena: How can such a moronic tribe win immunity twice in a row?

Terry and Dan falling off really made a difference I guess.

I think each team has an equal number of moronic players

    Dan really blew the win

Does it ever stop raining in Panama?

It's all Sally's fault for losing the spear.

So how do you hide a head?

A Nick fan in the skybox seats: Two hours? You'd think he'd say a little longer to make it sound like he didn't find it. Now I hope they get rid of Ruth Marie. Just not Sally

Well some of the folks on Casaya are hiding theirs up their butts.

Sally knows she's a marked woman.

Dan looks like he is on death's door

Austin compares himself to Jesus. Uuuhkay.

Terry is changing his mind to voting off Ruth Marie. Dan and Nick aren't crazy about this.

Re: Survivor Panama Exile Island Thread

    Week 4 - The Verdict

A Survivor insider in press row: They're crazy to get rid of Sally. But sadly I think she's gone. It's making it too obvious that she's safe.

I think I figured out why I like Casaya better-it's less predictable over there than at La Mina.

Ruth Marie thinks she's safe since Dan gave his word. She should have asked for a pinkie swear.

Sally gets in a dig at Dan for falling off, by pointing out that she didn't fall off the beam.

Hmmmm......Austin feels he lost the challenge by pouring the water too slowly.

Ruth Marie - the tribe will miss my sleestack face tomorrow.

Ruth Marie reminds everyone she's a very loyal person. (Which they won't be if they vote her off.) Crowd chants: WHAT?!

The back-stabbing tribe has spoken...Ruth Marie.

The girls vote for each other.

    Jeff's tally:

    Sally - 2
    Ruth Marie - 4

A Sally fan in the upperdeck: Hmm, I guess Dan stuck with his promise. Anyway... I'm glad to see Sally will be there another day.

Next week looks fun. Bruce has staked out a small patch of beach and Courtney decides she must exercise in that exact spot. Things look wet and miserable over at La Mina.

Jeff must have thought they made the right choice, because he didn't make one of his famous cutting jabs about it after she left. I don't know why they are so sure Sally will bale after the merge. She has no alliance with any of the other tribe members.

It's probably the Shii Ann manouver. If your own tribe doesn't want you, maybe the other side will.

Re: Survivor Panama Exile Island Thread

Week 4 - After the game PostMortem

Wow. Things are not looking good for the women. Four women left, 8 men left. The older women tribe is down to Cirie.

Casaya wins both reward and immunity this week. Terry found the idol.

Ruth marie did just as well in the water challenge. The deciding factor between the 2 should have been the loss of the spear. They are all bitching they haven't eaten in 11 days.

I really don't care that RM got the boot. At the start, I was hoping both she and Melinda would get booted quickly for being stupid and voting their most skilled members off. Boy that came back to haunt them both quickly, ha!

I'm sure Tina is laughing her butt of in Loser Lodge that they got voted out 2nd and 4th. They might have lasted longer if they had voted differently that first time. They couldn't have done any worse for themselves if they had kept Tina.

Ahh, cosmic payback--Survivor style. I love it

I hope keeping Sally won't come back to bite them in the butt. I think Ruth Marie would have been loyal to the end, I'm not so sure about Sally.

In the previews, Bruce says he'd rather be on Exile Island than there with Courtney.

This cast is very good. I like Bruce, Terry, Bobby, and Nick. Those are my favorites so far. The challenges are also good; IMHO, the challenges in Survivor: Exile Island are one of the best.

The brunette on the other team with the Boston accent is way hotter. And I agree that the blond Sally is also better looking.

Re: Survivor Panama Exile Island Thread

Week 5 - InGame Play By Play 1st Period

Crowd filing inside the Reality TV Arena...

A Peanut vendor in the upperdeck wired for sound: InShane in the membrane!

    InShane in the brain!

Crowd chanting: Shut the F up to Shane.

They sure have a lot of cool animal shots.

    Wah wah wah, Dan.

I miss Ruthie wah wah wah. Ha ha Sally. Nice fakey nicey.

I dub him... Bruce Chi! Because of the rock garden.

Oh I forgot, the "sacred" ground episode.

Courtney looks so stupid at times Slack jaw..."what's he doin'?"

Aras is getting all pissy about the fire.

So what is Shane and What's her name doing? Why can't they go get firewood?

A Survivor insider on press row: Oh Bruce. Stop being such a queen. You need to build bridges. Yes, they are using any excuse to pick, but don't be such a dumbass.

Screw 'em Bruce, you've got the immunity idol. Do what you want to do.

So Ruth Marie -- the chick who reminded me of Michelle Pfeifer (if Michelle Pfeiffer looked like Hell) was voted out last week. I don't even miss her, and I'm sure her tribe won't either.

Oh man. Another challenge disguised as a way to give them free food.

"Survive this". Even the losers get food.

Mmmmmm.....rice & beans, spices and wine for reward.

A die-hard Survivor fan in the front row: Are all the people on this show alcoholics? They ALWAYS are happier about booze than food. Not just this group, all of them. It's not that I don't drink ever, but I certainly can do without it for months at a time, much less a few weeks. I just don't get it.

Good point. I enjoy a glass of wine now and then, but I'll bet you anything if I was on Survivor it would be food I'd be jonesing for.

Great - we may get to see drunk cast aways again! Crowd chants: holy sh*t! holy sh*t!

A drunk Shane might be entertaining!

Whoa, are we in Seattle or Panama?

    Fish tossing and chopping?

We just need the Swedish Chef theme music from the muppets.

Re: Survivor Panama Exile Island Thread

Week 5 - InGame Play By Play 2nd Period

I'll bet the producers screen for people who think this way. Drunk contestants are sure as heck a lot more fun to watch than sober ones!!!

Terry has the idol, not Bruce, and as far as we know, no one else knows that.

I suppose it's possible that Bruce could also have a different idol, if they replaced it, but if so they chose not to tell us.

    It's unlikely as heck.

But it sure would be an interesting twist. "I have it!" "NO! I have it!"

    Cirie is awesome in challenges.

Wow, neck and neck, and I thought La Mina was going to win easily.

Bobby is one bad-assed fish chopper

Whoa, Ninja Boy can't chop the head of a fish off?

Bobby might be a better butcher than lawyer with how he tore into those fish

Booby has some anger to vent. And no doubt another deuce to drop...

I still think this was the dumbest challenge ever for them to allow--the easiest to have a VERY bad accident with. Why would they EVER allow this challenge?

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. I can't believe how close some of these challenges have been.

Sally lost that one for them.

La Mina loses. Casaya wins reward. LOL! Terry back to Exile Island.

A Survivor TV analyst on press row: How stupid are these people to continue to give the same person over and over, the chance to find the idol?

We already know that it backfired on them, but.... if this is the man that you respect the most, you certainly don't want to give him the chance to automatically make the final four, do ya?

The only thing they could possibly do is turn around and vote him out the first chance they get so they can waste his immunity idol and then vote him out a second time the next week.

    But that's not gonna happen.

So does Terry not even get a cup of beans before he has to go?

Can't wait to see drunk Casayans arguing. Oh, joy.

Haha. They now live in the middle of Lake Dumbass.

Damn... I didn't realize how far the reward challenges are from the camps. They won the challenge in the sun and by the time they get back to camp it's already flooded out? Crowd chants: holy sh*t! holy sh*t!

But they still have a rock garden...underwater.

Well, I guess Casaya doesn't have very good luck after all. Ah, an excuse to to get drunk! What's not to love about that? UNLUCKY!

Eating raw fish that has been in the heat for at least an hour, lovely...Crowd chanting: Oh my god!

A Survivor TV color commentator: Are they asking Bruce Chi for medical and health information again? The man who thinks you can clean bacteria out of water with towels?

Nick and Austin overdid it on the beans. Everybody stand back!

    Oh, oh, forgot the Beano...

Sorry Dan but if only 2 are getting sick I doubt it was the cooking of the beans.

A die-hard Survivor fan in the Reality TV Bar: Drinkin' wine in the outhouse - reminds me of my youth.

So Bruce and Bobby are going to drink all the wine, not a good idea.

Tonight's episode brought to you by Pepto Bismol.

Maybe they should have taken the rice instead...

Crowd doing the Pepto Bismol dance: Acid, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, dirrahea...YAY! Pepto Bismol.

They ought to put some in their package whenever the food challenges are won.

sitting in the outhouse drinking wine...Crowd chants: WHAT?!

Do we call that "The Crapliance", because of where it appears to have been forged? (or maybe because of who is involved)

Looks like Cirie doesn't believe in knocking.

So the bean eaters get sick.
The raw fish eaters didn't. Crowd chanting: what was that?!

A Bruce fan in the upperdeck: I so agree with Bobby

Bobby is cooking his own goose. He had better hope they win the IC tonight.

Week 5 - InGame Play By Play 3rd Period

There's no room in the shelter but there's room for two in the outhouse.

Ah, but the boys in the Crapliance are a close bunch. And just drunk enough to not mind the smell.

A Survivor insider on press row: Bobby was pretty insulting to Courtney just then. He feels bad about taking other people's share of wine but he doesn't feel bad about taking her share.

I love people who don't think of others and then get all pissy when someone acts the way they would if they had the chance

A die-hard Survivor fan in the skybox seats: Yeah, but she's an annoying thing. Even though she had a valid point, her whining puts people off....at least it does me!

    Their only choice was to:

    a. hang out with pieces of crap under a roof, surrounded by four solid, wooden walls; or else

    b. hang out with pieces of crap ouside, under the stars, exposed to the elements.

I'd have picked the outhouse, too.

A Danielle fan in the lower bowl seats: Courtney tried to guilt trip Bobby about the wine and it didn't work. She is the most annoying person ever and needs a swift kick in the a$$

Have none of these people ever watched Survivor before??? You don't alienate others and you DONT drink the last bottle of wine or beer yourself, you share with all.

I'm glad Bobby didn't leave that aggravating spacegirl Courtney nothing to drink, although that probably puts a big X on his back from the idiot alliance she is in.

Okay, Exile boy doesn't seem to even need the others.

A coffin tree mail? Nice message.

Terry's back from Exile. Did you find the idol Terry? Again?

Hence the coffin tree mail, coffins in the water.

Immunity Challenge: underwater coffins and puzzle pieces.

    It's skull, not skoal, Jiffy.

There seems to be a lot of strength challenges.

Dan bashes his noggin on the bottom of the boat. Ouch. Crowd chants: holy sh*t! holy sh*t!

He looks like a corpse in the water.

A Survivor radio insider on press row: I can't believe Danielle can actually dive right to the bottom, what with those floatation devices of hers.

Ah. La Mina gets in very early with their skulls. But they have two empty skulls working on the puzzle.

La Mina wins immunity. The IC scorecard: La Mina wins Weeks 2 and 5 while Casaya wins Weeks 3 and 4.

A Sally fan in the upperdeck: I say Courtney will get the boot tonight.

Based on how much airtime Bruce and Bobby have gotten and the fact that neither are part of the idiot alliance I am guessing one of them is going. The crowd doesn't want that.

But Bobby is handy in the challenges, Bruce is too at times...

A beer vendor in the lower bowl seats: So if they go with old alliances, then what's the order? Circe and then Bruce?

If they go by who annoys who, then Booby and then Bruce.

If they gang up on the self appointed leaders? InShane and then Bruce.

    Am I missing other possibilities?

A Survivor photographer in the media gondola: I am betting Bobby...he used the outhouse as an outhouse, then drank the last bottle of wine. How dare he

Re: Survivor Panama Exile Island Thread

Week 5 - Inside Tribal Council

I think Bobby knew his days were numbered, not being in the alliance, so he didn't care about drinking all the wine. But, we'll see.

Vote out Shane, he is the one who needs to go.

Cirie is laying low since they seem to have taken her off the chopping block in favor of Bruce.

A Cotton Candy vendor: Ugh. When did InShane become a "leader" of the tribe??? He's trying to command everyone to vote off Bobby.

From a purely selfish point of view I say they should KEEP Bobby and vote off InShane. I'd much rather look at Buff, Bright Bobby than Crazy, Hyperactive, Sunken-Chested InShane.

So is the kid swear a version of the pinky swear?

Ooh, Bruce is pissed. Courtney is so doing that on purpose. Crowd chanting:

Bobby and Shane make an alliance for final 6 and swear on Shane's kid. Well, that seals it then.

Does Shane know how to swear on anything besides his kid?

The girls are starting to revolt against Aras and want to vote Bobby out. Uhhhh......why not vote Aras out you bimbos?

Why does Ar-ass like Booby? What annoying manufactured drama.

Circie seems like she's in a good place.

InShane wants Booby to swear on HIS kid? Or does Booby have one?

Courtney and Bruce are both New Age fruit loops. Amazing they don't get along.

Daniellle is an idiot. Why rock the boat? What does she gain by this except paint herself as a troublemaker. I suppose Bruce might feel an obligation to her, but he's a nutbag. Will he even remember?

Arggh. Manufactured drama again. Who cares!

Shane can't vote for Bobby, he swore on his kid's life...and we all know that is a true swear

Aras showed half a brain trying to keep Bobby knowing he needs him in the challenges (or perhaps to reteam the young guys at the merge?). That said, if he and Shane had a little bit more of a brain they would boot Danielle or Courtney who adds nothing to the group at all.

I know... Bobby and Bruce should have gone and woken everyone up and asked if it was okay if they drank some wine...

A Terry fan in the upperdeck: Hey BRUCE -- the more you flap your jaw, the less I like you. I couldn't stand you to start with, and now I really, really think you suck!

Well, I think Aras is acting like an ass...

Jiffy's asking the tough questions. And Aras is still backing Bobby. I don't get it.

Re: Survivor Panama Exile Island Thread

    Week 5 - The Verdict

    Get rid of the psycho...

Bruce looked like he was about to cry during that little speech.

Finally a reason not to waste a vote on Bruce, he might have the idol.

Bruce votes for Courtney. Aras votes for Bruce.

A La Mina fan in the skybox seats: Bruce and Courtney can go suck on the same egg.

Actually, I hate each and every person on this tribe. Danielle is close to the top of the crap pile, but it's still just crap sitting on crap. They all suck SO bad.

It's funny Aras doesn't trust Bruce, it's Shane who will bite him in the ass...

A Survivor fan outside the Reality TV Arena: Jeff's going a little too heavy on the Gredian Forumula these days.

    The Probst Tally:

    Courtney - 1
    Bruce - 2
    Bobby - 3
    Aras - 1

Who didn't know how to spell Bobby correctly...wanna bet it was Courtney?

Shane voted for Aras (I just know it) Now he can say he kept his word. What an A** Crowd chanting: bullsh*t as Bobby leaves.

I bet this will come back to bite 'em.

Didn't Shane swear on his kid that Bobby wouldn't get voted off?

A Shane fan in the upperdeck: I can't stand Shane to save my life but he can be slightly entertaining. I wonder who voted for Aras. That was an interesting vote, to say the least. I like it when they're all over the place. Crowd boos that Shane survives another week.

A Survivor TV play-by-play man: Shane made the comment his was a throw away vote. That is why I am saying he voted for Aras.

Bobby gets to go drop his deuces in Loser Lodge.

That voting was all over the place! Crowd chanting: What was that?!

Oh sure...NEXT week the women want InShane out.

Week 5 - After the Game PostMortem

Well, La Mina wins immunity after a 2-game losing streak.

Bruce and Bobby go overboard with wine.

Casaya voted out Bobby which could prove to be a big mistake. They had a chance to vote out Shane, but he is still hanging around. If they lose, they need to vote off Shane as soon as possible. Courtney also has a target on her back because she rarely contributes. Bruce and Bobby are their strong links and now with Bobby gone, Bruce is their only strength. And Cirie is also targeted as the weak link, but contributes in challenges.

Shane is still the ultimate, quality heel, but I could also see Courtney as the female heel due to her bickering. We'll see as the story unfolds.

We'll see what happens next week as the girls from Casaya gang up on Shane.

Over at La Mina, Terry was sent to Exile Island again. Why would Casaya do that? That's another bone head move. Dan survived a head injury during the immunity challenge.

The wickest part tonight: Two people gettin' sick after eating beans and two people didn't after eating raw fish. holy toledo. That is just flat-out crazy.

I'm getting a feeling that La Mina will dominate next week and win both reward and immunity with Shane getting the boot. Eventually I think Bruce switches over to the men alliance on La Mina if he makes it to the merge.

Personally, I wouldn't give a crap if someone nuked Casaya Beach while Bruce was on Exile Island.

Also, a screw up on the preview from last week. They showed the rock garden incident in the preview but once it got to IC, you knew La Mina was winning because they didn't air the Bruce-Courtney incident and they only air footage from the losers after the IC is over.

Bad episode all around from Bruce though. First not helping with the fire, then not being able to chop the fish, then drinking the wine. He needs a merge bad.

    Ha. I really like Casaya.

Ya know I really think this is going to play out as one of the more interesting situations after the merge. There appears to be no large strong alliance and I think there will be a lot of flipping and flopping.

That makes a very good Survivor if the pattern holds. Either Mark Brunett has gotten really lucky in casting or his tweaking with the game has done something good to these last two seasons. Its nice not to just see a numbers game play out.

Re: Survivor Panama Exile Island Thread

Week 6 - InGame Play By Play 1st Period

Crowd filing inside the Reality TV Arena...

I am still amazed that the bean eaters were sick, and the fish eaters were not.

    Hardly seems fair, does it?

I'll bet the air around the fish eaters smelled a lot better!!

A Bruce fan in the upperdeck wired for sound: I hate even seeing replays of inShane. Urp.

A Survior insider inside the media gondola: Watching Bobby leave was just as satisfying the second time.

Mark Burnett is a genius when it comes to casting. He knows who to pick for entertainment value!

    Wow, Shane really is InShane!

Didn't have long to wait for tonight's installment of Shane-drama, did we?
Crowd chanting: SHUT THE F UP to Shane.

It would almost be worth getting kicked off the show, just to SMACK Shane upside the head and shut him up.

    "Manic-Crazy Spams?"

    Hee.

    That's Inshane! Totally InShane!

Another Survivor fan in the Reality TV Bar: I don't like Shane at all but I am glad that he is getting on Danielle's nerves who I might like only slightly more than Shane.

I vote him, "Most Likely to Continue to Make Embarrassing or Tragic Headlines After Survivor: Panama - Exile Island Wraps."

A Cirie fan in the lower bowl seats: Cirie is the only sane minded person on that tribe. Go Cirie! Stir that pot of resentment! I know some of you don't care for Cirie, but I like the woman. She is playing the game and stirring up alliances.

A Tina fan in the upperdeck: I still don't like Circie, because she's been so snickery and smarmy since the beginning, but I'm hoping she gets Shane out just because his amusement value is about over on this show.

A Misti fan in the front row: That blonde chick (Courtney??)makes me sick.

It's fun watching the chicks on Survivor say all the same snarky stuff about InShane that we're saying in here!!!

foreshadowing they definetly are getting rid of him. Which means he's here for the long haul

I love watching Cirie laugh from the sidelines!

Another die-hard Survivor fan in the Reality TV Bar: Please let Casaya go to TC tonight and vote off Shane, but knowing our luck it won't happen and then the merge will hit

Those beans look like cooked bugs.

Gender revolt on BOTH tribes, eh?

    That's InShane!

Another Cirie fan in the upperdeck: Cirie is fast becoming my favorite. I love how she's laughing at them! It cracks me up.

Awwww - hellno! I could not eat a minnow.

A Survivor insider on press row: Cirie got on my bad side to start with, but she is now my favorite. I kinda like Dan too, Sally is okay and so is Nick. Don't really dislike Terry, but he does seem too cocky. Um, Austin, I guess he's okay too. Danielle doesn't bother me as much as some of the rest of us here.

Aw, poor baby fishies, eaten alive. Ha ha, tastes awful. Snerk.

Austin says the minnows taste awful. They're so tiny I can't even believe they have a taste.

The guys are searching in the water for little fishes, and all they can find are teensy, tiny little creatures that look a lot more like snot than fish.

Re: Survivor Panama Exile Island Thread

Week 6 - InGame Play By Play 2nd Period

A Bruce fan in the upperdeck: Dan, shut up about your secret. he's just begging to go with that

Dan is cooking his goose with his astronaut talk. Not a good idea.

A Survivor TV color commentator on press row: Yeah, why would a good player EVER out himself as an astronaut? They are perceived as already successful. Most have PhDs. So you are revealing yourself as probably not needing money and as very smart?

    Guess this PhD isn't thinking.

Shane needs to get the camera on him again, he's been quiet for 2 episodes. Time for another phony freak out from the would-be actor

Cirie is standing back and letting the tribe disinegrate.

Shane's a nut. He knows Bobby was voted out because the gals didn't like him, so Shane's strategy is to make the gals dislike him.

A Survivor fan outside the Arena: Shane is right about worthless Danielle and Courtney voting Bobby out because they didn't like him. There was no strategy to that vote other than the fact that they didn't like him.

True, but his strategy of antagonizing them is even worse, unless of course he's just looking for an exit. Which with him? Very possible.

Those 2 women are on such a power trip it is crazy. Why do they think they hold all the cards???

lol at Shane calling anyone else a meatball! "She's a meatball."

The drama between Shane, Courtney, and Danielle is so fake. Now Aras wants out. The ladies will probably stick together and the guys on Casaya will be fighting to get them on their side. Shane seems pretty confident. Crowd chanting: holy sh*t!

Shane just needs a smoke (or maybe it's "a hit") and wants to get back to the stash he left in his luggage back in Sequesterville.

Dan has a target on his back because even if he's not strong he's probably smarter than 90% of them there, and even if he isn't, they'd assume he is and vote him off before he can get too close to the end. If they are smart that is...

So basically the whole premise of Survivor should be that the poorest and dumbest person must win...

I think Shane has the "serial killer" look about him. I would not want to meet up with him in a dark alley.

Shane's so delusional "Those two are the only ones who have a problem with it" (his condescending attitude) Crowd chanting: a****le towards Shane.

It's only fair that the girls gang up, the guys were ganging up on them from the beginning.

    Oooohhh.....scary tree mail.

Two for the price of one!

Why, why, why is Courtney even talking to him, just tell him his is out.(I didn't hear her said she was done with him just heard Danielle)

Duh, Shane you don't want to be in a alliance who vote based on personal feelings and you just admitted to Aras you don't like either girl. That's not a personal feeling?????

Oh, yeah, Aras if someone does something stupid why analyze it with him, it sounds as if you are trying to keep him in the alliance.

Bet John Nash never foresaw this in his game theories.

Actually, the REAL winner could be the one who best PRETENDS to be poor and dumb, but isn't, since they usually have to turn around and become smart near the end .

    Immunity so early, before reward?

    Crop circles!

Today's challenge is for both reward and immunity!

    Reward is a barbecue.

double tribal? WHAT?! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!

Person going to Exile Island is immune tonight. I love how they're changing things up a bit each week. Crowd chants: THIS IS AWESOME!

The winner can sooo screw up the other tribe if they have any idea who is a weak person on the tribe, they could protect him/her.

    That wasn't an accidental collision

They're gonna protect useless shane or sally

Dan and Sally are pre-strategizing on solving their puzzle once they get their pieces. Are Cirie and Bruce?

Cheap plastic American toys for Poor Panamanian kiddies!

Interesting twist in the Exile sequester. Basically it means the winners can choose either the weakest or the perceived trouble-maker/outsider to stay and be safe. Assuming they can figure the politics on the other team, that is.

Or just send the same two guys who have gone before figuring to stay with the pattern.

    This puzzle is complicated.

Re: Survivor Panama Exile Island Thread

Week 6 - InGame Play By Play 3rd Period

The women on Casaya need to send Sally, so that they can keep the gender thing going.

To do that, they'd have to understand that's she's even at risk. Or that there are gender alliance lines on the other tribe as well. How would they know?

    And...

They must somehow know. I wonder who told them?

Not really, they just need to know she's the only woman left. I think they noticed last week what was happening on La Mina.

LaMina is losing this for themselves.

Uh oh-- will Nasa end up looking like MENSA

How can such a loser tribe like Casaya work so well together? Who will they send to Exile Island?

It does. Usually I hate the puzzle challenges but I like this one.

Casaya wins. Big surprise. Who knew that going to Exile would be so good Sally doesn't look too happy. She's safe, right?

My guess is Sally to exile

A peanut vendor: It's going to be 6-4 on the tribes. I was hoping they'd even them up to 5-5. Sally is in Exile Island

A Beer vendor: Yay, I'm glad they chose Sally. Both my office poll picks are safe for one more week

They chose well, now the boys can cannibalize each other.

OMG Shane slobbered his foul breath on Cirie's face

A Survivor radio insider in the media gondola: If Danielle and Courtney pushed for Sally that would have been smart because if they can get her to the merge they have to know she will join back up with them. I suspect that wasn't the strategy however, probably just wanted to make them lose another guy by protecting her.

La Mina sucks. On paper they should be the best tribe, but they just can't get it together.

I am figured Sally because she was the last female left and the males on Casaya don't want physical threats when they merge.

Dan's Ph.D certainly came in handy that challenge. Can't believe what a couple of dumbells he and Sally were, trying to solve it. They should have been looking at it the whole time pieces were being collected so they had an idea of what needed to go where. Same stupid mistakes they did with the water puzzle challenge they lost a few weeks ago.

Sally would have been gone in tribal council if they hadn't sent her.

Another Bruce fan in the lower bowl seats: Just tell him he swore on his son's life to leave you alone.

I disagree about Dan. Both Nick and Austin are young enough to be impressed in a hero worship way about this. Dan knew it would either be him or Sally if they lost the IC and this stacked the odds in his favor. Now unless Sally gets individual immunity - she is gone.

La Mina seems doomed, but who knows what will happen after the merge! There are currently NO alliances on Casaya (save Danielle/Courtney). Cirie, Bruce, Aras, Shane - any one of them might jump over to the other side. Courtney and Danielle might align with Nick and Austin (and Terry ) and vote out Shane, for being an ass.

    We can only hope.

It will be ineresting if the merge comes and La Mina is 3 male 1 female, and Casaya is opposite!

Poor Sally might even find the right place but never know the immunity Idol had even been there!

Ah. Time for petty InShane people to give cheap plastic toys to poor kids who'd prefer candy or food or money.

Hey, Hula hoops are the hot fitness craze...

Ok let us see how many of Casaya is sick tonight.

I like the 4 guys on La Mina. I don't want any of them to leave.

Whose stomach will revolt from all this rich food? Ok its not rich but they are not used to it. The outhouse is gonna get alot of use tonight

    Hee. Shane gets some nicotine!

InShane bartered with a local who was smoking so that the local guy would give him a cigarette.

Now all InShane needs for his reward to be completely perfect is for a local heroin addict to show up with some smack, a spoon, a rubber band, and a rusty old needle.

He's getting quite a buzz off that cigarette.

Although the thought of him naked....yikes doesn't even describe it. So finally, Shane has smokes.

    What a @%^wad, Shane is.

He's just getting the monkey onto his back again without a way to continue it. He was probably somewhat detoxed from it by now and whoops! Gone.

Courtney and Danielle are a couple of real dumb bunnies, aren't they?

And... Bruce Chi is still looking to chop off heads.

I think Bruce is frightening the children. I hope the kids are out of the room.

Wait a sec......Probst actually samples all the gross food challenges? Did we know that?

Casaya has got to be the weirdest tribe ever. They hate each other one minute, then they're all best friends.

Week 6 - Inside Tribal Council

I hope Courtney and Danielle are just playing along to keep the peace. If they really are that dumb they deserve what happens.

A Danielle fan in the luxury suites: Courtney is, but I can't believe Danielle is. If she is, then I lose any respect that I have left for her. Courtney will just go along with the crowd and believe all is well if that's what they tell her

Casaya needs to get their act together, or one by one, they are out.

I noticed Shane was smoking again while they were dancing around, so I wonder if he bummed ciggies from every smoker he saw? Probably so.

I think Courtney MIGHT be that dumb, but I think Danielle is probably just playing along. Make the looney happy until you get an opportunity to boot him.

Um...did the guys make any suggestions on how to put the puzzle together?

Dan should have kept quiet for a few more days, now the NASA engineer is going to cost him.

Well astronaut guy is going to regret sharing with the mere mortals.

Dan has not come through on any of the challenges.

No way. No freakin' way is Dan going to survive tonight. It won't be 2 v 2.

The guys are talking about kicking Dan in the astronaut. Terry, Dan's first pal, is turning on his pal.

A cotton candy vendor: I think Dan is gone. I wonder if anyone else would have been any better at solving it. But of course, Dan couldn't have collected the puzzle pieces.

Oh, as I figured, Terry is going to dump Dan. Now, if they merge, won't Aras join back up with Nick and Austin, and Terry will be odd-man=out? Immunity will only save him once.

At least Terry is being upfront out the vote. Shows true character.

At least Dan's not trying to make Terry feel guilty.

Well this is certainly been unsuspenseful. Hopefully something exciting happens in the last few minutes. Wasn't this supposed to be the tribal council we'd have to see to believe?

The fighter jock shoots down the space jock! Bam bam!

    Young v. Old didn't happen.

Unless they are hiding tons of stuff from us, what with 10 min. left.

    Week 6 - The Verdict

At least Dan knows he screwed up. He won't be a bitter loser.

Dan has THE RIGHT STUFF. Not tonight he don't.

Not such a big surprise. He has enough class to accept defeat.

Dan tells Jeff he's the one who's going. He feels responsible.

A cameraman on press row: Terry is now the manager of the tribe?

I respect Space Ghost for stepping up and not making Terry feel bad about doing the right decision in terms of La Mina's strength going forward. He's a stand up guy, just not very good at the challenges.

Okay, these guys are even nicer than I thought. Unlike the loonies on Casaya.

    Terry thinks he's "tribe manager"?

That's the funniest thing yet to come from this relatively boring tribe.

Put it on his resume: Tribe Manager

I hear them talk about how Sally's the weak link. She's not the strongest but I don't consider Dan any stronger than her.

Editors not showing us any of the votes tonight.

    The tally:

    Dan - 3
    Austin - 1

I wish Dan would have made it to the jury. Bummer.

And the other guys look like their brother died.

I give them all credit, these men were very honest with each other and didn't turn and make rude comments towards each other.

Not a shocking tribal council. Actually, very predictable.
The wife looked kind of geeky.

It's a shame this tribe isn't doing better. They're much more likeable than the wackos at Casaya.

A Survivor radio play-by-play man in the media gondola: I'm disappointed with alot of these survivors. What is up with resiging themselves to the (possible) inevtible? NEVER stop plugging away to stay in the game. It's not over until you've gotten the majority of the votes. Ruth Marie, Bobby, Dan... they all knew they were going and just took their lumps rather than scheme, plot, beg or do anything to find another target. In a way, it's almost as bad as quitting when you don't put much (or any) effort into trying to change the outcome.

So "Salvation and Desertion" refers to Sally and Dan respectively. I was hoping Terry would need to pull out the immunity idol.

Announcer promises us some shock and awe next week. I'll believe it when I see it.

Due to the NCAA tournament, the episode next week will be a recap episode. No new episodes in the next three weeks.

It looks like a recap show next week and then nothing the week after due to the NCAA's. Next original episode will be in three weeks.

    CRAP! 3 WEEKS??

Well I guess they needed to cut somewhere since this is the first spring in 3 years where they have 16.

So who is the medical emergency? Does someone on La Mina collapse from starvation?

Week 6 - After the Game PostMortem

On Paper, La Mina supposed to be the better tribe, but Casaya is the one who won both Immunity and reward challenges.

Dan talking about his NASA gig proved to be a big mistake and he was voted out. At least, he was very classy in defeat and the men of La Mina respected each other.

Casaya has to be one of the wackiest tribes in Survivor history. Cirie is just sitting back and let the other girls get under Shane's skin.

I wonder what will happen with the two tribes in these next three-four weeks as Survivor takes a break for the NCAA tournament.

Hmmm. It seems to me that Terry revealed himself to be a Yankees fan, with his remark about being Joe Torre and having to make a decision for the good of the team to send Dan to the showers. Good ep. I was hoping that Terry would pull out the idol and give it to Dan to save himself, but that was a faint hope at best.

Nice Joe Torre reference by Terry.

Grew up in Jersey, resides in Connecticut. Guess he is a Yankees fan. And I really liked the guy, but now I see that he is flawed.

Once again Mark Brunett has a trick up his sleeve. Was there any doubt once Probst said that the person going to Exile Island could not be voted off, it was going to be Sally?

That was the ONLY scenario where that twist would really have a huge effect.

The most dysfunctional team continues to win. Merge the teams now. There are so many dynamics that could come from a merge, there's no need to hold off on it. Don't be fooled in the least by Shane making up with Danielle and Courtney. That will last 5 minutes since he doesn't have any more smokes.

We might actually have an interesting merge. I feel like in the last couple seasons there has been a dominant alliance that has picked off players one by one. I really don't see a strong unit like that so it could get interesting.

Last season there was a dominant alliance into the merge, but the alliance didn't hold up, which made it a very fun season to watch. This season is even better, because both alliances have taken big hits before the merge. Casaya's "alliance"(using the term loosely) is not going to hold as long as Shane is part of it. Now La Mina's 4 guys have lost one of theirs.

Individually, Terry is a big threat since he has a free pass for one vote. If he wins individual immunties on top of that, he really will not need an alliance to coast to the final 4. While Shane is an obvious target, he could be that guy that everyone wants to sit next to in the final 2 seats. Cirie may be the forgotten one until she sneaks into the final 4.

There's really a good case for everyone left as to why they could make it to the final 4 or 2. It will be a fun wide-open race.

It's the unpredictability factor is what makes Survivor so interesting.

Here's some more unpredictableness. Yesterday was Day 15 on the show. That's when they vote out person #5 in the traditional 16 person Survivor series. However Dan was #6 to go. I smell something down the line.
