Who are "The Bluths" and why wouldn't you explain that, like you did for the other families like "The Seavers (Growing Pains)"?

I don't know. Most TV families are better than mine, with a few exceptions.
How about any family where I'm the only child?
Ahh ok. I still picked the Bundys.Originally Posted by RhodyYanksFan

How about the first few seasons of "Mad About You"?Originally Posted by NYYBombshell

I'd have to go with the Keatons, although I haven't seen that show in god knows how many years.

I haven't seen the show in many years either, but I used to love it.Originally Posted by Stealthspy
One funny line I particularly remember is from the episode when the airhead sister Malory is dating this even more airheaded guy. She tells her brother (Alex played by Michael J. Fox) "We're so close. It's almost like we have one mind." Alex lets a few seconds go by and then he says "Who's using it tonight?"

I picked the Bundy's too.

honestly, I think MY family deserves a sitcom...![]()

My initial reaction was to choose the Waltons because I admire the dynamics of the Walton family... 3 generations living together with respect, concern and love towards each other (the way it should to be).... but I've also taken into consideration their being dirt poor. So, seeing how this poll has no actual basis in reality, I'll choose the Ewing family from Dallas....... if I have to choose a TV family, I may as well be part of a filfthy rich one.
Thanks for reminding me of that one. That was so funny!!Originally Posted by Stealthspy

The Bundy's fo sho!
My own family feels like it could be on a sitcom, we're all so one-dimensionally quirky. We even have the late addition of a much-younger sibling to round it all out (especially because sometimes it feels like she suddenly went from two to five years old overnight, lol). And ever since I moved out last year, I feel like I've started my own spinoff.
I chose the Keatons. Because I always felt like they had this sense of closeness with each other that was both real and non-corny. (And when you can have a brother who's self-obsessed and cocky and still be completely endearing, that's pretty special.)
BTW, you left out the Huxtables. And the Winslows.

i choose the simpsons because no one ever dies and no one grows old

I feel the same way about the Keatons. What was funny was that the parents were hippies in their younger days, and they would occasionally remind Alex that they called him "Moonbeam" when he was a baby. His usual reaction was something like "Please...can we not talk about that."Originally Posted by penguin4

The Cunninghams. My dad is kind of like Howard, my mom a lot like June Cleaver. I like both families, but the Cunninghams had more fun than the Cleavers.

None. I like my family.
If I had 3 wishes... One of my wishes would be to make a select few of you Pirates Fans.
I ended up choosing the Keatons because I would like parents cooler than my own.

How about the Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie? They are pretty cool, too.Originally Posted by NYYBombshell

Yeah, but you have to take everything that comes along with the family, including the little outhouse on the prairie in the middle of the winter. No thanks.Originally Posted by Casey37

I'd say the Partridge Family - I'd like to be in a singing group with my family.![]()
