To lose a game to the team with the worst defense in the NFL is just awful.

The play calling was conservative and bland, as usual. With the talent they have on offense, they should be scoring over 20 points, at least, every game.

Jason Campbell has a ways to go. He makes far to many mistakes and sails too many passes.

The 2nd half defense was 2006esqe. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Maybe we should cover Burress and Shockey on 3rd down? Maybe? They made Ward, a practice squad player, look like Tiki. They made Eli look like Peyton. Of course, had the offense been able to get a single 1st down against the worst defense in football, they may have been a little fresher.

Games like this make me yearn for the days when Gibbs is gone. I really despise his conservative nature. I know that Saunders is the offensive coordinator, but we all know Gibbs influences the play calls.

Campbell is definitely not there yet, but he is progressing. I blame Gibbs for waiting so long to start him last year, that he is still developing this year.

Can't even get on Extremeskins.com. Their site crashes harder than this one after the Yanks lose an elimination game.

Nothing lights up a team's board more than a loss.

Wow, I'm stunned. The defense looked great. They were hitting hard and often. Stopped the run, got good pressure, and even forced a couple turnovers. I didn't know Carlos Rogers could catch?

The offense looked very good, too. Campbell looked as good as he ever has in the NFL.

The good news is that they are 3-1. They should be 4-0, but I'm not complaining.

The best all-around game I've seen them play in awhile. Pretty encouraging, even if they did have 2 weeks to prepare.

Campbell was on the money all game which was great to see. Sky is the limit for that kid.

Just don't start buying Super Bowl tickets yet. The teams that they've been playing so far haven't been very good (and I saw that as someone who's second favorite team is the Giants). Let's see what happens after they play Green Bay, Dallas, and the Patriots (the latter, my favorite team).

Definitely not buying any SB tickets, but its such a refreshing change from last year. If they continue their progression, next year they can be a formidable team. Not saying they can't be this year, but I am realistic in my expectations.

3-1 when they were 5-11 last year. I'm not buying any Super Bowl tickets (though I will be at the 12/30 game VS Dallas) I will let myself be a *little* excited to see them playing .750 football 1/4 of the way through their schedule.

The NFL package is great. Sundays are to be spent watching as many good games as possible, and, for transplants like me, it's even better because I'm not stuck watching the boring-ass Browns.

Moss has dropped 6 passes this year, only 2 behind the league leader. He's been terrible this year, plain and simple. If he was inactive in Green Bay, they most likely win that game. Since the FO hasn't given away the 2008 draft (yet), they need to address the WR position high in the draft. It's not 1987 Joe, we need a receiver taller than 5'9". There is a reason no Redskins WR has a TD catch this year.

Wait a minute there, AlphaZulu. It's not like my Packers played over their heads against your Skins. We had one TD called back on a holding call that happens probably three times on every play from scrimmage. Franks should have had a TD reception had the Zebra made the correct call that he was pushed out of the back of end zone. Plus, our rookie PK missed two FGs that he should have made.

It was a sloppy game both ways.

He dropped 4 passes, one of which was intercepted and another which would have put the 'Skins inside the Red Zone. Then he fumbled which was taken back for the winning score. There's a pretty good chance they win if he just doesn't suit up.

I've never seen a WR have such an atrocious game in my life. He was horrible.


EDIT: A blowout in the Packers' favor? If you want to count the TD's brought back by penalties, then you have to count Sean Taylor's 3 dropped INT's, one of which most likely is a TD if he hangs onto it.

It sure is nice to go into every game knowing the defense will keep them in the game. Last year was a horror show. Sean Taylor is looking more and more like the best safety in the game.

Your OL is really, really seriously banged up. Every lineman is battling injuries. It doesn't matter who you have at the skill positions or who is calling the plays if your OL is damaged. THAT is the the problem.

Same. I watched the DVR of the game last night to show the wife why my heart was still beating 1000x a minute hours and hours after the game, and I still thought that kick was down the middle. So did Rackers. Gust from the Gods.

Looks like the season ticket holder at work is going to the game, so there goes my shot at being in attendance this Sunday.

Same thing happened to me. I lived in Va Beach my entire life but didn't get to a 'Skins game until the Vikings game last season. Still the only game I've seen in person. It was fun, but watching it at home in HD is still preferred.

Saw them at RFK against the Cardinals in 1990 and at FedEx in 2005 on Christmas Eve against the Giants.

I was a mere 10 years old in 1990 and got to go down into the locker room tunnel at halftime to see all the players walk by.

I still think I came up to Joe Jacboy's knees or so. Man that dude was huge.

The defense knocked Alexander out in the first half, but our good friend Brunell couldn't get anything done (surprise!). The Seahawks tick me off. They play in an atrocious division, win 10 games every year because they get so many weak opponents, then get home-field advantage in the playoffs because of it.

The Hawks are not going to win 10 this year. However, 8 wins may take their division and at least one home game (WC round).

That playoff game was frustrating as any kind of an offense would have been enough to take Seattle.

Didn't realize the Pats haven't beaten us since 1972. It's gonna take a Herculean effort to keep that streak alive today.

Well I wasn't around for the other 3 ass-kickings, so that was the worst beating I've had to watch the Redskins absorb.



Terrible in all aspects.

Not knocking Vrabel on his ass at the LOS tells me that the Skins were watching the wrong tapes all week, or weren't watching at all. How stupid can you get? Apparently only the sideline didn't know that ................ was coming.

Campbell fumbles every time he's sacked. Hang on to the goddamn thing.

Lastly, the obviously just said ................ it at halftime. Sad day to see a Gibbs team just up and ................in' quit. Gibbs will spin it as he was proud of the way they competed to the end and blah blah blah, but he's full of .................

Not that I expected this game to be competitive, but 52-7 is a joke. Coulda kicked that one field goal and made it 52-10 I guess.

Well, on to the Jets. A win there and they match last year's win total, so gotta look at the positives I guess.



















Can't wait for work tomorrow. Not that I said anything but I would take a 17 point loss as a moral victory, but Pats fans are just like Boston fans in that they have the same big mouths where I work.

Joe Gibbs needs to go. This is his 4th season back, and the offense is still putrid. It's not 1987, you can't just run the ball 40 times a game and win. The entire world knows they are going to run the ball even if they are having no success in doing so.

This team needs a real GM who can build depth. Stop giving away draft picks for the T.J Duckett's and Brandon Lloyd's of the world. The right side of the offensive line is beyond pathetic. I understand the RG and RT are hurt, but there is no excuse for not having better players backing them up.

Also, is it too much to ask for a WR over 6 feet tall who can catch? These little Pedroia-sized WR's obviously can't get the job done consistently, especially in the red-zone.

Clinton Portis is dead to me. Betts deserves to be the starter. Thank goodness we didn't trade the best CB in the NFL plus a second round draft pick for him or anything.

Defense, they throw to Vrabel literally every time he is in the goal line package. Cover him. Also, you may want to cover the RB coming out of the backfield. Just a suggestion. And even though Randy Moss clearly pushed off in the end zone on his TD, there is no excuse for having an undrafted free agent CB "covering" him.

Nobody who can win a jump ball. God knows I love Santana Moss, although even the balls he manages to catch this year seem iffy, but it must be nice to be Tom Brady and have a Randy Moss-type who you can just lob a ball up in the direction of and have him win the jump ball. Even if he does push off like Michael Irvin.

But have 5th CB Leigh Torrence covering him 1-on-1 is a flat out disgrace. A disgrace.

I've never bitched about Portis, because he does bust his ass, but at the time of the trade I really thought a tandem of Betts and Watson could have been respectable. But I was always a Betts fan and I got yelled down on that one all the time.
