Hey Dave, what do you think the scalping market will be like on Saturday? Biggest game in years, but also Christmas Eve....

I'm thinking of making the drive hoping for a Christmas miracle outside the stadium.

I think you should be able to find something. Check Craig's list first. Also, you can post something in the Blackfoot Forum at hailRedskins.com forums.

Thanks, I'll check out HR for tix. Still thinking about making the drive or not. Driving myself insane doing it, too.

Win and we're in! Great game today! Consider 36-0 a distant memory.

Back online in time to celebrate our first trip to the playoffs since 99! I'm glad we won instead of going in the backdoor. Next weeks game against Tampa will be a good one. As an extra rooting incentive, the Skins will come to Seattle if they are fortunate enough to win in Tampa.

This is exactly why I can't root for the Redskins even though three of my favorite players are on the team.

Why, would it be that hard to get used to not having the calls go your way? We're used to it now no matter how much it sucks.

Every team has questionable calls that go against them over the course of a season. That's just the reality of the game. But every Redskins fan I know thinks that the NFL has a conspiracy against them. No loss can ever be attributed to the players or the coaches. It's always the "bad call" that blew the game. And that drives me crazy.

Things have been particularly bad since Danny took over. If you don't think some of the crap the Skins have seen this year (see Tampa and Denver) while watching the Giants get an extra home game and the Cowboys get a win in Carolina on an OBVIOUS tipped ball, then I am sorry. There are plenty of losses I attribute to the players. The KC was won but Cartwright fumbled the ball for a TD. The San Diego game was won but the D folded at the end and in OT. Same for the Oakland game. I think you choose to only look at the times we blame the refs instead of looking at the actual calls.

I also remember a non-call on a blatant defensive hold by the Redskins in the Denver game. As a fan I think you choose to only remember the calls that go against you. We're all guilty of it, but I find Redskins fans to be particularly annoying when it comes to blaming losses on the referees.

And FWIW, I'm not a Giants, Eagles or Cowboys fan.

But you sure are holding Skins fans to higher standards. Hell, go look in the Giants thread and you'll see folks who thought the Giants would have won against the Skins had they not been called for holding in the 4th. Let's not forget they needed ANOTHER TD and a 2 point conversion to boot. Thanks for being consistent.

Well I'm not basing my opinion entirely on anything I've read on this forum. I'm surrounded my Redskins fans here in Northern VA, which is probably why I am most annoyed by the whining from the Washington faithful. However, I grew up midway between NY & Philly and it does seem like NY and Philly fans generally speaking are more willing to criticize their own team when their team loses. I'd put Boston fans in that same category. Washington fans seem to have more of a homer mentality. Just my opinion.

Guess it's the same way I felt spending last week in NY. We don't enjoy hating our team the way Philly fans do. Giants fans are closer to Skins fans I think. Philly fans are eternally hot or cold. They are either the greatest team ever or the worst team.

Oh, and Snyder inked Greg Williams to a record extension ensuring there will be three years of the same coaching staff. I think my little owner is all grown up!!

This also must be really eating at those Snyder-haters. They love to rake him over the coals but should remain real quiet right about now.

It would be funnier if that was a catchable ball. That said, no one would ever accuse Glenn of having courage over the middle.

It was catchable. I was at that game, in the end zone closest to the play, and he could have gone for the ball but was quite aware of where Mr. Taylor was.

Nice win for the Skins today. Question for you guys though (Washington fans) ... why does Gibbs insist on using Ladell Betts so much on offense? I couldn't believe it when I saw Portis on the sideline to start the second half. Betts carried the ball 89 times this year (with Portis carrying 352 times). Compare that to the Giants where Barber carried the ball 357 times and the next highest number of carries on the team was Brandon Jacobs with 38. I just don't understand why Betts gets so much playing time when the Redskins have a Pro Bowl caliber running back on their roster.
    Never left the Betances bandwagon.

Portis was hurt and has been for a couple weeks. His shoulder has been bothering him.

Plus, Betts is as good as number two as anyone has. He had a 100 yard game this year. I think he could start for half the teams in the league.

It wasn't pretty, but winning a playoff game on the road is always impressive.

I think Washington can beat Seattle next week. Moreover, I wouldn't be surprised to see an NFL first, both Wild Cards playing in the NFCC (Washington at Carolina).

nice win, what with the 3 horseshiiit calls and all.

    1. cadillac touched the guy who recovered the fumble. DOWN BY CONTACT.
    2. redskins defensive player tackled with ball, fumbles before hitting the ground. oh wait, NOW THE REFS CALL 'DOWN BY CONTACT'. fuuuck that.
    3. two steps, knee on the ground, then the ball gets loose. you know it. it's a TD.

but yeah, good game. i hope seattle destroys you.

    3. two steps, knee on the ground, then the ball gets loose. you know it. it's a TD.

but yeah, good game. i hope seattle destroys you.
The Redskins were incredibly lucky in this game but they did play well defensively. I don't think they will beat Seattle.

If we bring some king of offense, we have a shot. But if the offense repeats this performance, then definitely no shot. We have a tall order ahead of us and the Skins will have to play a near perfect game to beat Seattle.

If the Redskin offense can score 17 or 20 points and the defense can shut down the Seahawk offense, Redskins win.

If it's a offensive shootout, the Seahawks win.
