Gary Hogeboom, former Cowboys QB, is one of the contestants this time. I remember his name but don't remember if he was any good.

Is it really already time for another Survivor? I wonder what the twists will be...if this one's anything like last season I'll be pleased with whatever happens.

nhyankeefan - Hogeboom didn't really do much, here's a link to his NFL stats: http://ww1.footballdb.com/players/hogebga01

It doesn't seem like there have been 11 Survivors.

Anyway, as long as it is on at the same time as The O.C., I won't be watching.

You can picture-and-picture or record one of the shows.

I only have one dvd/vcr, no dvr/tivo, and there is no way in hell I would picture and picture over The O.C. Not an option.

For your sake, that better not be true. If it is, many of us do not want to know.

I saw the commercial. The post was not an internet "spoiler".

That said, this blows! I'm so tired of shows bringing people back. As the Eminem song goes, "You only get one shot....". That's what I liked about reality shows. It's an average person's one shot at fame (at least 15 minutes anyway) and fortune. You lose, you're done. I have no problem if you show up later on Battle of the Network Reality Stars or Kill Reality, but once you lose on Survivor, Big Brother, Amazing Race, etc, please don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out and don't come back!

They announced it on the Survivor Guatemala preview show on the TV Guide Channel last night, too, except for their identity.

No they didn't. Stephanie was great, one of the best players they have ever had in any season, and definetly the best girl in my opinion.

Thees only 1 survivor who has gotten screwed out of the money, imho, and thats Matt from The Amazon. That man was an absolute beast and would love to see him back on the show

    Survivor finalist arrested for DUI:

MERCED, Calif. -- Katie Gallagher, a contestant on the CBS reality television show "Survivor: Palau," was arrested for drunken driving in her hometown.

Gallagher was held overnight and released Thursday morning, said Merced County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Scott Dover. Her next court appearance was set for Oct. 31.

Gallagher took home $100,000 in prize money after finishing second on "Survivor."

I have to agree with you. Matt may have dominated challenges, but he just wasn't that popular with the others, which is the other aspect of Survivor. Michael was an early favorite and he either would have been voted off soon because he was a threat or go all the way.

    Re: Survivor: Guatemala Thread

Week 1 - Suvivor: Guatemala Premiere InGame Play By Play 1st Period

Whooooooooo are you. Who who. Who who?

    Snicker.

Like we don't know who's shadows those are?

    Wow! This setting looks AMAZING!

Margaret must hate these credit guys for putting her face into the credits all muddy.

Then again, one of the other women had a nice "rack" shot.

Probst's hair looks a little too dark, like he chose to use a darker shade of Grecian Formula this season.

The scenery looks awesome! What a good location!

Wow. No time wasted on the ride in? Tight editing.

    Tools? i.e. - Mentors.

It's BobbyJon and Stephanie!!! The two secret players. Castaways look excited!

Hehe...Stephenie and Bobby Jon are "tools."

They already get supplies? Ugh not liking that. How is that survival right off the bat?
Then they get Bobby Jon and Steph to help them.

Ahhh... that's interesting.. I knew Stephanie was it, but wasn't sure about Bobbie Jon.. but that's cool... I liked them last year.. yay..

    I already don't like Brian . . .

Is Brian the token gay guy?

No, he's the one with the weird eyebrows. I think Nate is the guy who's gay? Anyway, glasses and curly blond hair.

Geez, BJ bolts out ahead of everyone.

Nakum doesn't sound too happy that BobbyJon's with them.

Jeesh! The "they'll be voted off first" that lots of people were guessing doesn't appear as though will happen -- they were welcomed with open arms!

    Danni Am Already Too Skinny.

Farmer Brandon Am Even Dumber Than BJ.

    Steph looks good as usual.

I'm not crazy about the pre-selected teams, I liked the little school yard thing last year...

Reward Challenge already! 11Mile race through the Jungle. Not good. Poisonous snakes, crocodiles, etc.

Winning tribe gets better camp with flint. A survivor crowd inside the Reality TV Arena are in still in shock.

Oh wow Steph and Bobby Jon are full players! I am glad they got a second chance! I hope they have more successful tribes this year!

    I love Stephenie! *yay*

HEE Brandon just fell on his REAR.

Nice start for Brandon... falling on his butt down a hill and spilling the bananas.

Lol... Bobbie Jon knows Stephanie is plotting...Crowd says: "WELCOME BACK STEPH"

Cap'n Jim has self appointed himself TEAM Captain apparently.

Jim has a good idea with moving forward with the compass...

Jim reminds me of Mickey Rooney.

No one can read a compass? Geez!

I've totally been pronouncing the names of these tribes wrong... LOL.

This is going to be exhausting just watching them go on this hike... man, could you imagine?

If you were going to ditch anything ditch the damn tribal sign.. get a new one.. LOL..

And Gary is shoved into leadership. Will he be another Tom?

Rafe doesn't like Gary and he's definitely intimidated..

It's kinda weird how Gary is about being an ex NFL player... it doesn't mean he's gonna be the best survivor?

Gary "the leader" already criticizing his young teammates. Please don't make this a younger-vs-older thing.

why would anyone participate in this of all the reality shows if you've never even gone camping?

Hee. This Doorman Jude amuses me so far.

Lots of funny voices and accents on this edition.

OUCH! Those spikes had to hurt! Kind of remind anyone of Dramarosa when she was hit in the head with the plaster? Kinda just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Snakes would take me out of the game COMPLETELY!!

Ouch!!! That looked like it hurt so much!!!

It's daaaarrrk -- are they going to get lost in the dark again?

Why the hell would a tree need spikes like that? lol... See, and you all said save the trees, I bet you'd change your opinion a bit if a tree tried to kill you.. lol

Blakey is making himself an obvious boot, eh?

    Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrlllllllllllllllllll lllllllllllll!

Blake is puking. Places a target on him I'd say.
ewww - the sound is much to "good".
    I think I may vomit.

Blake is overreacting with the thorntree or whatever. Even the sounds of him puking is fake.
He's gonna be another Robb from Thailand.

Wonder if there was anything in those spikes that could cause him to throw up

Great... must suck for Blake. First day of Survivor, he gets hit by a tree, spikes in his shoulder, and sick to his stomach.

More than likely some type of poison in the thorn, should be getting a real doctor/nurse

    Re: Survivor: Guatemala Thread

Week 1 - InGame Play By Play 2nd Period

It's a good thing that Margaret was on the Nakum tribe.. being a nurse and all.

Good plan for the tribes to stop trying to move forward during dark hours.

I really hope the episodes prior to Stephenie and Bobby Jon's boots don't revolve around them. I want to find out about the other guys, and so far I haven't found out much.

did we really need to have to listen to him retching 3 times ???

    Predatah

someone kick amy out right now, please.... i can't handle the accent. A blurb from the crowd.

Gary - On The Bob & Tom radio show the running joke is he will win because he will overthrow his tribe like he used to his receivers.

Watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat

Brian reminds me of a younger Richard Hatch.

I wonder how long they have to go? I don't know why they are running.. unless they are very close to the end.

And now it rains. Let the fun begin!
I am not going to pick a favorite this early. I tried that on BB6 this year. Boy was I waayyyy off on the early pick.

Poor Stephanie, she must be cursed.. lol...

Why did they have the 4 ft tall person carrying the 8 ft tall flag anyway?

Yeah, that didn't make much sense to me either. No wonder she was lagging behind.

Morgan seems like a player! Asking if they could move faster.. I really wouldn't have been surprised to see her be the whiney-type.

    Bobby Jon goes down...

"Margret, Nurse lady" I like that.. lol..

Steph is irked by weak girls.

Oh man. BJ is overdoing things AGAIN?

What they need to remember is the team that Bobby Jon and Steph were on were the first tribe to never win immunity...I would be rethinking

Nakum is in the lead by a thread.

With all these early illnesses/injuries they had better keep the nurse around!!!

It would help if they all paddled the same way at the same time

Blake seems to be paddling despite his "spiked" shoulder.

    "Premature evacuation"! LOL!

Get it together folks - have you never watched rowing on the olympics? All together...
    Crowd chanting: holy sh*t!

Ooh man... Judd stuck in the mud. (Hey, that rhymes!)

I am not a tree expert but I do have a degree in Forestry and I don't think that tree was poisonous. Most poisonous plants are going to give you a reaction like poison ivy would, a rash. A tree with spikes has the spikes as a defense against animals and insects so my guess would be is that it is not poisonous.

    I think I'll like Judd.

So they win a big pile of rocks?
Can hardly wait to see what the losers get.

Judd is a dumbass too. But I still find him amusing.

Poor Steph. She must feel cursed. And she loses again. Crowd says: "AWWWWWWWW!"

    "take yer stuff and go"

Jeff is got a bit more attitude this season

They must have started late in the day. 11 miles and took that long? Something doesn't sound right. I know it was hard, but still.

They should've taken both boats to their camp.

Ok, so Steph was complaining that Lydia was holding them up, yet Lydia was the first one to arrive to finishing point in her tribe... not to mention jogging... go figure. LOL

One hour is NOT long enough for the first episode. You don't really get to know them.

    Huh! Zorro rides again?

Awww...Steph lost. She still has yet to win an immunity... I think.

Didn't Jeff say 11 mils 24 hours.. plus they did sleep in the dark.. I may have heard it wrong.

    Re: Survivor: Guatemala Thread

Week 1 - InGame Play By Play 3rd Period

I hope we'll get to learn more about the castaways now that they've finished the hike.. I doubt it though, with an IC and Tribal Council yet to go in this episode.

How many episodes before Steph starts her nonstop whinning about hating to lose and giving it her all? Niether of them seemed to have learned a thing from Last season. At leaset they put them on diffierent tribes so they'd have mor of a chance to experience winning a challenge. Can't wait to see Steph go but she won't be first. To many other targets

    IMHO, Stephanie needs to STFU.

I love her, but she's drawing too much attention to herself. EASY STEPH!

    ...and we're back
    Crocodiles...oh hell no...
Looks like they are doing a pretty decent job of building their shelter.

Stephenie: Finally a tribe that has as much heart and determination as me!
    Riiiiiiiight

I guess Steph is getting bad editing this year.

Gay Woody Allen is getting on my nerves too.

Meanwhile... more puking? Now its Judd Da Dohrman?

And he is a wilderness guide which cracks me up

They just showed us a pile of bark

As a Gay Male, I'm annoyed by Rafe's voice... please vote him out...

    I love puking Blake

    BJ not doin' so good.

Oh man, EVERYONE is puking. All the guys. Eek! BJ, looks really really sick. Crowd chanting: oh my god.

Okay, that was freaky seeing Bobby Jon's eyes rolling back! wow.

So now Steph is praising her tribe? Hmm.. Oh well.

Props to the Yahxa tribe for going building shelter right after they finished hiking 11 miles.

OMG all the men are down at Nakum.

SICK, do we need to hear all these people throwing up??

BJ just looked really bad and a little scary.

Okay, did we really need to see the pruny feet?

The old dude looks like he is on the verge of death.

    Three sickies in one tribe?

Wimps. Steph's tribe may have lost but I don't see any sickies.

Margaret is awesome, I like her... All the boys are cramping up and being dehydrated and she is like the den mother, rounding everyone up to take care of everyone... Good for her..

Ack! Those were some gnarly feet....

The men are dropping like flies.

Yah, what good is winning if it takes every guy out of the game. Ha, the women are in better shape. WHAT?! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!

Were these people not prepared for this season or what!

FOUR! BJ, Blake, Jim, and Judd! ALL the guys!

I'm liking Steph's team now! They have so much spirit!

ewwwwwww!!! i wish they woudln't scare me with those close ups of the spiders like that!!!

The men on Team Steph (who cares what the tribe name really is) seem fine, healthwise I mean.

Still... this seems like it might be an editing buildup to making Team BJ the surprise underdog winners tonight.

I miss last years monkey immunity thingy.. lol..

this comp is like one on TAR in Egypt.

    nakum.....in the rear

I love how everyone stands up to reach for the torch

Puke Tribe almost caused a collision.

Who was the girl who almost fell out the boat?

it's kind of scary how sick these guys were. BJ really did look like he was going to have a seizure

Yeah, no more little Willard idol -- awwwww.

'Twill be interesting to see who does the hauling on the Pukemup Team.

I am shocked Steph isn't up at the top pulling..

the hardest part is moving the logs.good thing the guys are not moving them

    ouch......steps foot. caught

    this is brutal......

    This is a close one!

    Yaxhu wins... Yeah Step

    Yaxha wins immunity!
Steph wins an Immunity Challenge for once!
    BobbyJon loses again!

I am so glad to see Bobby Jon's strengthed helped them

LOL... Tribal Council that Stephanie is Not part of! yay!

I have a feeling that Bobby Jon could be heading home, but that's just a bad decision for them, geting rid of someone who knows how to play the game best.

Steph's team won immunity!!! The sickie team lost due to their weaknesses. I really hope they keep Margaret and don't vote her out becuase she is older. She is awesome as a nurse and helping them out.

Bobby Jon is either jinxed or is a jinx. And it doesn't help that he's not quite bright.

I think Puker Blake is going home.

    Re: Survivor: Guatemala Thread

Week 1 - Inside Tribal Council

Has the Immunity Idol ever gotten applause before? I thought that was really funny.

I must say, I'm impressed with Yahxa's spirit! They really, really appear to be close and they all work together. Every one of them gave their all in that challenge.

I think the boys of Nakum were already hurting and were not able to play at full strength... I have to say, after watching a season of big brother where almost all the challenges are little questionaires, this challenge was much more exciting! Granted they get to play in the whole mayan ruins and area around, while BB gets significantly smaller...

BJ was the packhorse, if you recall. All the lifting. Steph thought for the both of them.

He had some good camp-keeping skills, but mostly the out and out physical stuff.

Margaret was my pre-show favorite, I don't want her to go home. Maybe Jim (though I'm usually in favor of keeping the oldies)? Or one of the nameless little girlies?

If they are smart.....they will NOT vote off someone who is strong this early in the game....Bobbi John should know that better than anyone. (except Stephanie) but she don't have to worry about it tonight.

I gotta say the old guy is out. Seriously he is sick, and now he is injured. Not good for the team.

Jim will be voted out if his bicep snapped.....

Jim could go home, if they don't toss a sickie. He's injured.

Jungle Judd is crackin' me up.

I think the old guy is going

The Rudy-wannabe looks like he is still pretty sickly. I'm thinking he's going.

Wow, I may be prescient! Looks like Jim is really out of commission, done in his bicep.

    Old man firefighter is done?!

GAH! The howler monkeys would scare the crap out of me.

I wouldn't like listening to those monkeys, although it would help to know that they were just monkeys . . . .

i have fears for there being so much focus on margaret or bobbie jon considering this is the first episdoe, they don't usually vote out someone who doesn't appear in the episode much... puke-oom don't vote stupid..

It would not be smart to vote out Bobby Jon. Not this early.

    they better keep the nurse.

Good God, I've said this earlier in the thread, but WHERE would Nakum be if they didn't have Margaret?? WOW.

Vote out who you want, but keep the monkey

they are stupid if they get rid of Bobby John cause he was the sickest yesterday...

Blake is crippled up...........still throwing up
Jim.........the oldest man looks rough.can he come back to help the tribe...I'm not so sure about that

They have GOT to keep Margaret...

    cool tribal council

monkey's still bite, and are territorial on top of the noise...I wouldnt be comfortable...that and they steal.

So do they boot out injured-and-sick Jim, throny-shoulder-puking Blake, or dehydrated Bobby Jon?

This is the coolest TC set ever. Poor Bobby Jon, I hope he's around long enough to at least get one immunity win to his name He, Blake, and Jim are sick but I think Jim's the more logical choice to go. Just not Bobby.

    Blake - YUMMMY!
Shhhh - Bobby Jon - You are sooo cute when you are silent.

I like their tribal council pyramid. They didn't show much deliberation pre-council. The guys still look rough, but Jim looks the worst.

At least she seems like a true nurse unlike Maggie on Big Brother...(who thinks that walking does NOT burn calories)

The Mayan ruins are awesome.... I saw some Mexican ruins in my cruise. I'll try the Mayan ruins someday.

    Danni a true diplomat

Haha ya he's dumb like a post! tries too hard

    Judd's a hoot! I'd like to see a backflip

Jeff a bit defensive. "Wow - I just asked you a question."

ewww.. there is a bug crawling on him!

Injured arm guy HAS to go. I mean... come on. The Pukeys will stay.

But at least Jim kept trying. crowd concerned about the team...

Jim has to go, old and injured, it will only get worse.

    Re: Survivor: Guatemala Thread

    Week 1 - The Verdict

I like the Council setting, especially the stair thing.. it looks great! Great setting for the season...

Hmmmm Bobby Jon looks like he is on steroids hehe; I cant believe 4 guys were just vomitting and were so sick. It must suck that Bobby Jon is at tribal again! I couldn't believe his tribe lost; but its good for Stephanie.

He's certainly fighting to stay in there. I forgot Judd was sick, actually.

That's a LOT of stairs to climb to go cast your vote! Imagine tripping on the first one on your way back...

That torn bicep has gotta count heavily against Jim; I predict he's going. And I think he knows it.

Judd.......says one of the toughest dudes i know...(when voting)

    I think Jim will go

I am waiting for Danni to click on who Gary from the other team really is.

I mean really, who shows up to council in a sling and doesn't get voted out? LOL... at least thats how it should be..

Jim is gone Crowd bemoans and Awwes. They said: POOR JIM.

Brianna is the one with the little red shirt, right?

I think she's the one this year to try and barnacle to a guy. Look at how she gave the guys some wiggle room to escape blame when she spoke.

    Bye Jim! Nice knowing you!

    Kinda obvious.

    First Vote Jim
    Jim
    Jim
    Jim
    Jim

Jim is the first person voted out.
He didn't have a chance to prove himself. Poor guy.

WOW - looks like it is a landslide.
Sorry old dude. The injury cost ya the game.
He looks as though he may cry.

Poor guy. If he had stayed healthy (if the arm wasn't hurt) I think he might have stayed and done great!

Thank God Bobby Jon's around at least one more week. Hopefully next week Nakum can get their act together and get an immunity win.

    Jeffs parting words:
Figure out:................How to give it your all without destroying yourself.

Oh my... Jim's wife looks about 10 years older than him. I like that clip.. that'll be a fun new aspect.

Aww they show the wife. Nice touch. At least he didn't hurt his foot so he can go for a walk with his woman.

How ironic would it be if Bobbie jon never wins another immunity? I'd laugh..

Jim was the wise decision, but I still feel bad for anyone who's first, has had bad luck like that, and hasn't already proven themselves to be a total ass. On the other hand, he will be able to point to his injury as the reason he's out first, rather than his age. Sad.

Thing is, I'm not sure they'll still do all that well . . .

Margaret was my preshow favorite and this episode just cemented it. She made the trek and the challenge well. She also made herself indispensible to her tribemates that are sick. Her 2 speeches hit it dead on. Its not about who you like, its about what they can do for your team to succeed. Very smart and just as good a speech in TC. I hope she wins it

No surprise. Good decision by Nakum to vote Jim out, preventing him from causing more damage to his arm.

    Week 1 - Post-Mortem

WOW! What a way to start off the season. A cool set. Cool tribal council.

A lot of puking though. This first episode with all the puking made it like Fear Factor.

Steph from Survivor: Palau finally wins team immunity. Good for her.

I feel bad for Team Nakum. A lot of wounded warriors especially Jim. If Jim was healthy, he could've gone farther. The ending had a nice touch.

Great start to the season BB. Gary "Hawkins" could go far . Do you remember his NFL career? Jim would have been valuable had his arm not been in a sling. The nurse is a very valuable team member right now. I usually find a lot of the first episodes kind of boring as I don't know the characters, but this one really kept my interest.

Yes it was a good survivor puking included! Shows how real a show like that can be!

I noticed something really interesting at the end of the show wonder if any other "survivor fan" caught it!

Did anybody else catch who Jims vote had been? Why in the world would you want to vote off the nurse (Margaret) in the very first episode! Just shows HE knew who was going home... HIMSELF!!!!

There was probably plenty of more vomiting that CBS left out. It gives an added sense of realism. A lot of people still sit at home and think the contestants are going on a 39-day vacation.

Week 2 - InGame Play By Play 1st Half

Crowd filing in for Part 1 of the Doubleheader (Survivor and the Apprentice) in the Reality TV Arena

Lets hope the men aren't so weak this week

YAY! I hope none of my faves leaves...!

From the previews it doesn't look like the men are any healthier. I wonder if that will determine immunity (dumb question)

GAH! That was a big freaking spider.

    At Nakum camp after TC.
Bobby Jon about to throw up.

Margaret talking about how the tribe doesn't have the energy to face the emotional toll of the game, let alone the physical

BJ thinks he should pay "ray-ent" at tribal council.

Meanwhile, Judd looks like he has gas. Give him some Pepto-Bismol. Acid, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea. Yey. Pepto-Bismol.

Yaxha camp now, talking about the other tribe, how they aren't as strong as they thought and how they don't look as though they're having fun.

Stephanie says they all get along well, it's like a family. Gee, heard that before...

Yakha tribe happy with the way their tribe is shaping up.

Gary talking about his job. Still determined not to give the game away that he's an ex-football player.
    Treemail already.

I love how Jamie classifies Rafe as a gay guy. He said:

Our tribe is diverse. We have a fishmonger, a magician's assistant, a landscaper, a gay guy ....

Reward challenge has something to do with food.

    Blake has shortness of breath.

I really hope they start showing more of the other Survivors, rather than just Steph and Bobby Jon. We need to get to know the rest, to make up our determinations.

I am really glad that the ex-quarterback is keeping his true identity hidden. I like how he told his tribemates that he's a landscaper. Smart guy.

Treemail says "winning this one will help you eat".

    Blake not doing well.
    Feels short of breath.
    Really struggling to breathe.

OOOH a big rope-y spiderweb-y thing. Crowd dancing to the Spiderman tune.

Blake is really, really sick. I guess they should baby him along and get him as good shape as possible to compete?

I have this bad feeling though, with all their emphasis on how well Yaxha is getting along that they will LOSE.

RC, big rope "spider web' contructed over a pool.

Race up a ramp across a net onto the web and retrieve bags attached to web.
Drop into water and make your way back.
If you fall into the water without a bag you have to start again.
All must attempt the course once.

Lydia would be happy to win those fish supplies. Isn't she some sort of fisher? What exactly is a fishmonger anyways?

    A fishmonger sells fish

I thought Bobby Jon was this big competitor, so far he has slowed the tribe down in all rewards/immunity

I wonder if Bobby John will treat us to the same He-man chest beating as he did last season?

Yi! Cindy almost fell out of her top there.

If no one else has answered, a fish monger is a fish seller.

this competition looks fun. Love it.

Bobby Jon really sucked, didnt he?

Blake did pretty well on his run considering he looked half dead in camp.

    Steph is an animal.

Rafe the first person to screw up and fall off without a bag.

Brandon showed he can compete. In fact, so far, no one is reallyl sucking at this. Oops, too soon, Rafe is screwing up. Let's see how Judd does . . . .

Is Rafe a wimp or what?

Wouldn't it be funny if Team BJ won all of the rewards, but Team Steph all of the immunities?

Judd drops in for Nakum without a bag.
Chance for Yaxha to catch up.

Wow this chick in the red shorts really looks anorexic.

DON'T send Bobby Jon back in

Crowd chanting: LET'S GO NAKUM. LET's GO YAXHA.

The people who went first took all the closest bags.

    Brooke has some long legs.

Geez! Danni is already skeletal -- that doesn't bode well for her future. And short little Lydia did just fine.

My God........ look at Danni's hip bones. She looks disgusting. I hope she doesn't make it far or we're going to be subjected to a skeleton worse than Tina from Australia.

    Wow, Blake went again.
He made a pretty impressive recovery.

Amy sitting this one out for Yaxha.

Bobby Jon taking an age to get back for Nakum

Um....they can't dig their own worms?

Jamie leaves BJ in the dust. SERIOUSLY.

Week 2 - InGame Play By Play 2nd Half

Blake came back to life and has redeemed himself.

Man Rafe is pathetic isn't he?
The women did pretty well in this challenge.

    Ooh a close finish!

And did Blake kill himself doing this and competing twice?

    Nakum wins reward.
Pretty impressive from Blake, unless we find later that he pushed himself too hard.

THEY WON SOMETIHNG! Hopefully it won't be a reincarnation of Ulong where they hardly win any challenges!

Lydia's pretty strong for a woman her age.

Blake did extremely well in this challenge; He did better than most of the Survivors and he's nearly dead. Fake TV Entertainment?

Blake did good, but if they loose immunity he's a goner.

I would think if Nakum goes to tribal council, Bobby Jon should be gone.

Holy crap that was a really exciting reward challenge!! I'm glad to see Nakum win one.. hopefully they will get the most out of their fishing gear.

I was really impressed with Blake for coming back and running the course twice after apparatly not being able to breathe. Maybe he's over his sickness. Morgan and Lydia were both pretty impressive, going out at the far end to retrieve those bags and not slowing much.

I can't wait to see this mud wrestling challenge, it should be good!

Rafe's an easy target in the event his side loses.

Blake did surprisingly well during that competition but looked half dead doing it.

Nakum! Yakha is giving me eerie flashbacks to the Rotu tribe from Marquesas (aka "the love tribe"). That challenge must have taken them down a notch. Very impressed with Blake; when it came down to him and Brian I figured Brian had it. Also impressed by Cindy making up that much time, and surprised Danni didn't do as well as I thought she would in the physical challenge.

Ewww, grasshopper to eat.... I'd rather starve.

Yaxha deciding whther or not to eat grasshoppers.

Lydia is making some kind of fish catching station on the edge of the water.

Ah, and farm-boy Brandon can catch fish too. Those of you who were deriding him, I think you will find he will be an important contestant and go fairly far. Lydia is trying to make a fish trap. Ah, here come the ants -- yummy!

    Rafe and Gary eating ants.
Rafe seems to be enjoying them. Crowd chanting: holy sh*t!

Hee. Gay Woody Allen is on my personal crack-up list. Him and Judd.

    Lydia caught ten little minnows.

Little fried minnows. Aren't they the cutest thing?

This camping by the ruins really is terrible. They should not be allowed to camp at a historically significant site!

I know. I'm a little annoyed at the clothing that's draped over the rock. That's incredibly disrespectful and is going to lead to some deterioration.

Camp NEAR the site, but hands off!

Back to Nakum, Judd saying that Blake is a great guy but does nothing around camp. Lydia rocks Blake is lazy.

Maybe this is a strategy for Blake...do nothing at camp, save strength and win the challenges.

Blake is sick again. Geez. Judd is complaining. Hey Judd, Blake did more in the challenge than you did. I think Judd is jealous.

It may sound like sour grapes from Judd... but I think he's actually right. Blake could be milking this situation...

I love listening to the guys on Blake's tribe complain about how he lies around all day. 'Cause it's true. He does.

If he's having so much difficulty breathing, he should quit the bloody game.

Well, I liked Judd up until the hero comment

I get the idea of eating ants... but aren't they supposed to be cooked?

I like Lydia. She'll go far.

Blake MAY be milking it, although I don't doubt he still is feeling poorly. However, I still think Judd is jealous that Blake did so well in the challenge. Gee, come on, at this point the idea is for your TEAM to win.

Well then he's doing something smart, even if it sounds annoying from where we're sitting.

Then again, it could also be a losing strategy because what good is it to whine about someone who isn't going to get voted out no matter how you spin it? At least a few of the tribe will see him as the hero of the challenge no matter what, and Judd will have just fostered ill will for no reward.

    Treemail

Bobby Jon thinks it sounds like a tug of war.

Well that was a quick chunk of show they had.. what was that, like 5 minutes inbetween the commercials?

Anyways, I agree with whoever said that Rafe is probably going to be a target if Yaxha loses immunity. He couldn't pull himself up a ladder. I don't think Yaxha can afford to keep him around if he's going to be weak in challenges. Maybe it was because of a lack of food/water though. Who knows.

I agree that Judd seems a little jealous of Blake. Jeff said they could go in any order they wanted after everyone went once and Blake went again.. Judd could have gone again if he wanted to. But then again, he basically dropped off without getting a bag the first time.

Oh, oh, quarterback boy has just been outed, hee!

Ah! So Danni the sport nut (aka "Football Girl") DID see through Gary's "disguise".

Why would you have to cook ants? Except to kill them so they don't bite you inside the mouth. Even our small black ants can bite pretty well, if you make them mad.

I'm hoping Lydia will go far. So far, I favor the older folk: Margaret, Lydia, and Gary. I like Brandon, too, and Judd, if he keeps his mouth shut.

Sounds like Danni didn't buy that Gary isn't himself . . . LOL! We'll see how that plays out.

Danni makes it known she knows Gary's secret. I get the feeling he's gonna regret not telling anyone.

Tug of war? Heh...This could be interesting.

Gary's lie about not being a football player lasted real long. I am sure he was not counting on anyone being such a sport nut, especially a woman. Give us sports loving females some credit!!!

Oh, fuzzy nudity blob is back.

Team BJ has a strength advantage, unless the sickies are THAT sick. Mud Wraslin' may change the odds though.

This will end up with nude mud wrestling Crowd chanting: WE WANT MUDBATHS!

One minute left in this round.
If neither team has a flag it goes to one on one.

Then it will be all fuzzy blurry blobs!

    One on one now.
    Three flags to win.
Any tribe member can go as often as they want.
Judd v Gary in first match.

    Judd outweighs Q-Back a bit.

Oooooooooooooooooh, Danni just makes a quarterback comment!!!! Gary looks surprised.

Way to blow his cover Danni Crowd chanting: WHAT?!

Gary doesn't even look like he was trying.

I guess Jamie's trying to be the hero now.

She outted Gary as a QB and the camera cuts to everyone else looking surprised.
    First flag Nakum.

    Brandon v Jamie.

    Nakum won the first flag.

I can't believe Danni outed Gary in front of everyone!

Judd gets to be the hero he wanted...sort of.

    Wow, great job Brandon.
    2-nil Nakum.

Good grief Judd is much bigger but can't even get a lead.

Man, Judd is a freaking tank.

    Nakum wins immunity!

    Finally, immunity for Bobby Jon.

Well, Jamie probably should be the one going home. But I bet it will be Morgan or Rafe.

Judd is the hero now he can have the spotlight! He wins Immunity for Nakum. Bobby Jon finally wins Immunity, LOL!

Nakum wins immunity...and lots of buttcracks were blurred. Crowd chanting: holy sh*t!

Oops, Steph's tribe goes to the slaughter.

I was impressed by Brandon. Didn't think he had it in him.

Well, Judd did say he's going to be a powerhouse!

Judd toyed with Yaxha really badly. Good job.

Whose heart will be carved out of their chest at the Tribal Council with a sharp obsidian knife?

Because you have been on once Steph, that is why they want to vote you off.

Jamie's doing damage control. Doesn't he realize plotting like that can backfire? Steph's an asset to the tribe. Apparently they didn't learn from Ulong's mistake in voting off the strongest member first (although if they want to bounce Jamie, that's fine with me)

    Garry's been outted!!!

I think Amy is playing Stephenie. Who is saying Steph should go?

But wait until the truth comes out Gary, you will be outted for lying. Why not say, yes, but 15 yrs ago.

Better not be Lydia or Morgan!!

Jamie wants to boot Steph. QB wants to keep strength.

And then Brian tells everyone about Danni's little statement. QB lies though, which he may live to regret...

But not yet. For now he's acting like the leader and everyone is listening. QB starts naming weak girls to pick off now instead of Steph.

I think Yakha sucks at strategizing. They'd be crazy to get rid of Lydia. She hasn't even done anything wrong. At least get rid of the guy who blew the challenge.

So predictable, they are going after the older chick even though she can cook, walk without getting sick and is good in challenges.

    Re: Survivor: Guatemala Thread

Week 2 - Inside Tribal Council and the Verdict

You can't get rid of the guy that blew one challenge. It was a tug of war.... not necessarily his fault.

You've got to get rid of the person that's not a team player and that can't help you in the long run. It has to be Morgan or the other young chick... Brianna.

Well, I don't like that guy so I'd like to see them get rid of them But I agree, not in their best interest, unless he starts losing them challenge after challenge (but that didn't hurt Vanuatu's Chris). But I think Morgan and Brianna have done okay in the challenge's thus far.

I guess Bobby Jon's not the only dumb one to bring up his past experience in the game.

Should be an interesting vote. I hope it is something shocking.

Poor Lydia, I think she's getting the boot. If Morgan stays, I predict that she WILL lose a challenge for them, or at least perform so poorly as to be no asset whatsoever.

Of course, they might not have shown us all the discussion about getting rid of ex-QB Gary.

Lydia gets warned by a little rat... er... bird. She takes her case to the obvious leader, Mr. QB, but makes a really weak argument, I think.

Gay Woody Allen (but looking less like him as his beard grows in) blathers some trite nonsense about Tribal. Speaking of trite, here's the "fire" bit from Jeffy.

Rafe couldnt pull himself up on the ladder, he is the one who lost the challenge for reward.

    "She's not lahhhhk a gurllll, she's lahkkkk a bawwwwww-yah."

Are we sure BJ isn't on Steph's tribe? That sounded almost like one of his statements.

Is Lydia secretly getting access to a hair dryer and styling products? That hair is awfully fluffy...

Ok so it's basically between Steph, Lydia, and Morgan. I'm not liking this...... Maybe we'll have a surprise vote?

Lydia won't give up, like she said!! She climbed the farthest she could to get that bag in the RC! Argh, I love how biased I am, sticking up for my favs!

WHY do they think Lydia is the least athletic. Wasn't it the little brunette, Brianna or something, the one that fell OFF the ropes. Or is she on the other team. No, there she is. So WHY is HER name not on the table?

Rafe didn't answer his question. Jeff asked him what he was basing his vote on. He said that the tribe has become a family and that they don't want to leave without one of them later tonight.

Pigtail chick votes to evict Lydia. Why not get rid of this pigtail chick instead?

Morgan has been voted out. She is the 2nd Castaway of Survivor: Guatemala.

It's funny that despite the althetic vs. non-althletic excuse, there really is also a subtle boys vs. girls thing going on too. The "problem" is that only the boys realize it. They are going to chip away at the women one at a time, I bet.

    Pigtail chick is gone.... hee!

It was the right vote...evict Morgan (lazy)

Morgan looks like a little biotch for getting voted off. Her good-bye speech should be good. I am glad that they played strategically and didn't get rid of lydia because she can be a good asset to the team. They don't need to always vote out the older people.

I suppose that Lydia's little beg session with QB worked.

In BB terms, Morgan was backdoored. In Maya terms she was offered to Quetzal as a supreme sacrifice. There'll be more where she came from, the gods shall be appeased!!

I wonder why they didn't send ant-boy Rafe home. He is pathetic at the challenges and I don't see him improving. Did anyone tell Morgan that she wasn't doing enough around camp? I'm glad she went instead of Lydia, but Rafe would have been a more sensible choice.

Boys vs. girls. Didn't you catch that?

(Don't worry... the girls on the tribe didn't either...)

Brian saved this tribe from going the path of Ulong. What a dumb pick to target Lydia. She held her own on the challenges PLUS she was a food provider. If anyone was to go, it should have been Rafe. The geek couldn't even get through the reward challenge. Someone should have pointed out to Rafe that Lydia kicked his a$$ in that challenge. She proved she was more valueable than Morgan and Rafe. Hope Rafe is next, the boob

    Week 2 Post-Mortem

Last week, Steph finally tasted immunity victory. Now Bobby Jon gets the spotlight. Good for both former Ulong members who never tasted immunity.

What was Yaxha thinkin' trying to vote off Lydia? She's one of their strong players. Morgan was the right choice to go. I thought she was a team player, but she was lazy.

It's tough to tell which tribe should I root for, but I'll give it two more weeks.
