I don't really have much to add to the statement the Dev's made on the ice tonight except for:

    And as for "Super" Mario...

    This series is a laugher...

I think the Devils will win the series, but anytime you're facing a team that has Lemieux and Jagr, you can't write them off so easily.

I hope you're right CJM...I'm encouraged that the Devils were able to keep Jagr and Lemieux to one shot between them in game 1, but that was only one game!! The Devils played great, and I hope it carries through on Tuesday...

Jim -- great pictures!! You're not serious that the series is a laugher, are you? I'm assuming you're being facetious...just checking...

To really, and I mean REALLY, appreciate the Yankees I suggest first becoming a NY Rangers fan. It seems like a looooong time since the Broadway Blues had an identity or even a sense of team direction. Watching many a fruitless Rangers effort (or lack thereof) over the past few years has made me respect the Devils that much more. They're a machine. They play a great system, are led by competant management, have deep talent that's relatively cost efficient and they have a farm system that cranks out player after player, thus making their aging veterans that much more expendable.

I don't root for 'em but from an objective standpoint I can't help but have an appreciation for how efficiently they're run.

The Devils make it tough to root for them. They are the most media UNFRIENDLY organization in sports. Getting them to talk and meet with the media, or supplying players for on air interviews, is worse than pulling teeth. But I wish them well nonetheless.

Good journalists shouldn't be "rooting" for any team they are trying to cover - so what's the problem?
