Congratulations to Team X , newly named the Flying Lizards, on our third consecutive win. A stunning come from behind victory; The Lizards were down 5 runs in the first inning and came back to win 13 - 8 . Key hits were a grand slam by Michael, a two run HR by Evan, doubles by Nicholas and Henry, base hits by Joel and Sasha. Heads up base running by Ryan, and brilliant fielding by all. Good job Lizards!

    the flying lizards

What an awesome name for a baseball team. Ok, may I assume this is a team you play on or perhaps that you coach?

Little league? My hubby used to coach my son's little league team. We had a ball.

It's great to hear that you guys areecoaching Little League and having fun doing it. I am looking forward to the day when I can coach my son in Little League but he is only 1 right now. I sometimes worry about the parents who can be a pain in the ass, as I remember them from the days I played Little League.

I sorta prefer the name Hudson Cliffs over Flying Lizards, But....

it's uncanny. I was just thinking of your daughter and her team this morning, wondering how she was doing. The Lizard Dynasty Begins...

Xzavirer - haven't had that problem so far - knock on wood. It's a pretty tight knit community and we only practice an hour before the games. It's all for fun and everyone knows that. As long as all the kids have fun and everyone participates it's cool. We have boys and girls and I make sure everyone gets a chance to pitch or play the position they want for at least one inning. I teach basic skills (which I just learned myself recently) and we get good results. These kids will surprise the hell out of you if you give them a chance.
