Spanish announcer dies in crash after sox/yanks game

I don't know if this was posted yet, but the sox spanish announcer was killed in a car crash after the sox/yanks game. Somehow, those games don't really seem as important as they did at the time.

No wonder the Red Sox seemed like they weren't really into the game tonight. I can imagine how a lot of the players must have been feeling. Rest in peace, amigo.

Sad news and it must be especially difficult for the team considering the loss of the clubhouse attendant just a few weeks ago.

Re: Spanish announcer dies in crash after sox/yanks game

Wow, how terrible. I had the game on the radio on Saturday, and they had some movie critic (Boston fan) in the booth. He mentioned that he had been in the Spanish broadcast booth for the Sox a few times, and how great it was because they are so animated and actively root for their team. He said that their play-by-play guy was the youngest in the majors, and a cancer survivor. I remember thinking what a nice story it was.

This morning I see this, and I know it has to be the same person. I am at a loss for words...

Very sad his family must still be in shock.

That's two members of the extended Sox family this year to die very young and in accidents. Very freaky and very sad.
