I don't know if this was posted yet, but the sox spanish announcer was killed in a car crash after the sox/yanks game. Somehow, those games don't really seem as important as they did at the time.

Wow. RIP
That's horrible. RIP.
No wonder the Red Sox seemed like they weren't really into the game tonight. I can imagine how a lot of the players must have been feeling. Rest in peace, amigo.

oh my god..this is so sad...
I heard this today...Did Coltrane actually exist? This is like being blind for 50 years, regaining sight, and then peering directly at the sun.
Sad news and it must be especially difficult for the team considering the loss of the clubhouse attendant just a few weeks ago.

I do not post on NoMaas. That silverdsl is not this silverdsl.
Wow, how terrible. I had the game on the radio on Saturday, and they had some movie critic (Boston fan) in the booth. He mentioned that he had been in the Spanish broadcast booth for the Sox a few times, and how great it was because they are so animated and actively root for their team. He said that their play-by-play guy was the youngest in the majors, and a cancer survivor. I remember thinking what a nice story it was.
This morning I see this, and I know it has to be the same person. I am at a loss for words...
Vaya con dios, mi amigo!
