Danny Kolb got a save! Of course, he allowed a run, two hits and a walk...and somehow also got three strike outs.

So far the Naughties are facing a -13 for Kerry Wood's spot in the rotation (Matt Ginter, DET). The actual score of her game right now is 85.5 to 51, so the adjusted score is 85.5 to 38.

Come on non-The Liger pitchers... you can do worse than that.

Actually, it's FA pitchers, not all pitchers, that we use for the score. So if the worst pitcher scores -25 for the week, but is on a roster, we don't penalize her that score.

Just for the record I am looking to trade Foulke/LoDuca for an above average starting pitcher. If that is not enough I may even throw in minor leaguer Ryan Howard - but the deal has to be right.

Just a quick update on Jeff Kent "professional hitter".....

    Jeff Kent - 2B - Dodgers

Jeff Kent hasn't had a hit in his last 21 at-bats.
Can you say ''buy low?'' He's just 5 for his last 48, hitting .104 in that stretch. May. 26 - 8:46 am et

Bedard out injured, Loretta gone for 2 months, Miller gets tonked, Riske takes the loss. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I'm stuffed. Can I buy a couple more DL spots off anyone?

From a pure fantasy baseball perspective, would you start tim wakefield tonight? I'm pretty decently ahead in ERA and WHIP, but only up by 1 in wins. The Yanks are doing great but can never hit Wakefield.. Let me know!

I hold the fate of the Yankees in my hands tonight.

If I start him, the Yankees will crush him, killing my ERA and WHIP.

If I don't, he will dominate and throw a 2 hitter.

That's just the way my luck is in fantsay baseball

    Prior out for season?

    http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/3645934

Leading off the fourth, Brad Hawpe hit a liner off Prior's right elbow. The ball caromed toward third, where Aramis Ramirez caught it for the out. Prior collapsed and writhed in pain on the mound before being helped off the field by the training staff and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

X-rays of the arm were negative, but broadcast reports indicated that a subsequent MRI revealed a slight fracture of the elbow.

    LATEST NEWS

Early reports indicate Mark Prior's MRI revealed a slight fracture in his right elbow. If this indeed true, Prior will be out for the rest of the season. X-rays on Prior's elbow were negative, Cubs trainer Mark O'Neal said, but a source with the team revealed a "slight" fracture. The Cubs will continue to evaluate Prior's injury to determine how much time he will miss. (Updated 05/27/2005).

If Prior is indeed out for the season or an extended period of time, the Squeaks will likely be looking to rebuild in a few weeks, unless they start playing way over their heads somehow and start actually winning. This just isn't the Squeak's year.

Have any of us not been in negotiations for Miller recently? It sounds like half the league let out a big sigh of relief last night.

Don't feel too bad though Sax. He got me a -26 in my other league

Boy, the Lookalikes had it rough tonight! First Kelly Wunsch gives up a first pitch 2 run homer in relief of Derek Lowe (Lookalikes) to rob him of the win, then Jose Valverde (Lookalikes) promptly gives up 3 runs in the next half inning to give the W to Wunsch.

    Wuncsh - 0.1 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 1 ER, 1 HR, W

Wunsch is on my team so I'll take it, but it's things like this that make you appreciate the wisdom of Sax and the W/QS split.
