Clemens is going to have to announce his retirement again

Well it looks like Roger is going to have to retire so he can ask for another Hummer.

His Hummer was stolen from his son's high school

Roger, a proven liar, probably justs wants another Hummer. The "stolen one" is safely in his garage.

Seriously, though, it takes balls to steal from Roger Clemens in Texas. The perp thatn proceded to piss on a picture of W and break a pair of longhorns over his knee

After reading this article, is anyone kind of alarmed that they basically stopped just short of putting out an Amber Alert?

That Hummer was given to him by the New York Yankees for his 300th win
as much as I don't like the idea of Clemens keeping his retirement gifts, this is not the same.

"He began letting Koby Clemens drive the orange Hummer to school after he signed a letter of intent last November to play baseball for the University of Texas, whose colors are burnt orange and white. Before that, Koby drove a black Hummer to school."

Re: Clemens is going to have to announce his retirement again

Maybe Clemens should teach his son not to leave the doors of a $50,000-$100,000 car unlocked. Maybe cars don't often get stolen down there or maybe his son just figured they could buy another one if something happened to it. That said, given that it was given to him by the Yankees to commemorate his 300th win, I hope Clemens gets it back because it surely has some sentimental value to him.

Maybe it is not stolen. I often forget where I park. Sometimes I spend hours in the mall looking for my car.

All joking aside, I do hope he finds his car. Kobie must feel bad. Not only is it Pops 300 win mobile but the whole teams equipment was in the wagon!

Honestly, who cares if he lost his damn Hummer.

Roger losing his Hummer equates to me losing my TV Remote. Bite the bullet and take a 20 out of my wallet and head to radio shack for a new one.

Him losing his Hummer is that awful? At first I figured he could just buy a new one, though it was important because it was the 300th win car, but after hearing that it equates to losing a Remote, I feel terribly for him now. I hate losing my remote.

First off, there's no need to tell people they suck.

Secondly, I think it's perfectly reasonable for people to have a dislike for Clemens, considering the way he played NY like a fiddle. How much of that "playing" was intentional we'll never really know, but still, the feelings of bitterness towards him are quite justified. He gave NY the impression that it was now his "home" - and made it very clear that he would retire a Yankee. He was given a "farewell" all around baseball, and got lots of ovations in many parks for that.

I can't blame him for wanting to pitch more, but I can blame him for indiscretion when it comes to how he went about his fake retirement (announcing something he wasn't sure of, among other things).

Don't forget - costing the Yankees a draft pick, as well.
Waiting for Sterling to retire so I can start listening to games on the radio again...

Well, apparently the Clemens family is pretty fond of driving Hummers because prior to getting to drive his father's 300th win Hummer, Roger's son was driving a black Hummer of his own. So there's probably a Hummer for every member of the family!
