Nonetheless, it's a pretty ugly Logo.
You've got nothing to believe in but believing in yourself.
I always find that the night of the All Star Game is a good night to go to the movies.
If I had 3 wishes... One of my wishes would be to make a select few of you Pirates Fans.

I wouldn't say it's ugly, just plain. The designer could have been more creative.Originally Posted by Evil Empire

For me, the best part about the All-Star break is the home run derby the day before the game.![]()

my favorite part of the all star game is seeing the yankees play the NL all stars![]()

The logo isn't bad. An example of a bad logo is the Washington Nationals. It's so... manufactured. You could tell it was designed by MLB because of the font (it is the same as the All-Star Logo above, minus the old english). As my brother says, it looks like it would better serve as the uniform of the National League all star team.

I've never watched a complete All-Star game; heck, I've only ever watched one....the one that was basically the Yankees at every position (1999?). Even then I only watched about 4 innings. Turned it off after the Yanks were replaced. Just can't get excited about it.
Tell ya what, the NL can win every A/S game for the next 100 years as long as the AL wins every WS (but the Yanks have to win at least 1 out of 3 )![]()

I look forward to the home run derby and the celebs game. I am able to sit through the whole all-star game.
My name is Tracy and I am a female
I hate the HR derby because it's 10 minutes of BS for every 1 minute of action. I might be in the minority, but I do like watching the all-star game unless it ends in a tie.Originally Posted by yankeesfaninaz

My dream All Star Game would be one where at the All Star Break the Yankees are in first place and there are no Yankee Players on the All Star Roster.Originally Posted by Tifoso

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I'm not loving the font combination in the 2005 logo. It mixes Old English with a vaguely Star Trek-looking font. Bizarre.
Anyway, my two favorite parts of the All-Star extravaganza are (1) Media Day and (2) the Home Run Derby.
In Media Day, you get to see how the players dress in "real life". My favorites are the guys in really flashy clothes and major bling-bling.![]()
And the Home Run Derby rocks if you know Spanish swear words. That Miguel Tejada has such a potty mouth.
They're playing off the Detroit Tigers' "old English" D logo. They usually try to work something of the host team's identity into the logo.

I think the font is alright, given it's in Detroit, but the color....![]()

I actually really like it! why cant the logo be red white and blue though.. or something like that .. that ugly orange has got to go
