    Request for Surveys

I posted a request for owners to return to me a survey about their team in the trash talking thread, but I was advised that burying it in another thread wasn't the way to go with that.

Therefore, I'm starting a new thread about it, because I can.

Here's the post from the trash-talking thread:

I'd appreciate if the owners would complete this short survey and send it to me via PM:

1.) What was your strategy going into the draft?

2.) Do you feel that you followed your strategy? If so, how? If not, why didn't you?

3.) Did you have any "targets" in the draft? Did you get them?

4.) What do you feel are your strengths and weaknesses as a team?

5.) If you had to guess on your five keepers for 2006, who would you guess they will be?

6.) Create an adjective for how bad the Sportsline site was.

7.) Who was your best pick overall? Who was your worst pick? Who were your sleepers?

8.) Do you have any other comments about your team? Where do you think you'll finish?

Feel free to be as brief or elaborate as you wish, but I'd like to get a response from everyone.

Take your time, but please try to complete it ASAP. It really shouldn't take all that long (I only really need a sentence or two for each question if that's all you want to write, other than question 6, where all I need is one word) and it really helps me out when I'm writing my report. If you've sent one to me already, you can obviously disregard this.

    Another request:

If you know of any games where you play one of your division opponents in back to back weeks or very close to one another, please let me know right here. I've looked through the schedule and found that the Lumberjacks and Rhode Kill play each other in the next to last and third from last periods, but no other matchups like that are jumping out at me. (Though I know they're there. I ask that you take a look at your schedules and see if you're playing any of your division rivals both times very close to one another and let me know here so that I can alter the schedule if possible to avoid that. Thank you.

NYBombers and The Naked Truth are playing in weeks 1 and 6. Not exactly back to back, but not exactly spread over the season, either.

Actually, you have to face the Truth in weeks 3 and 23. But the Bombers thing is right.

Any other close matchups that people have to bring up other than the three that have been brought up?

I think I am playing Nat's team 2 times in the last 3 weeks of the season. I vaguely remember hammering...I mean facing the Senators 2 times in the latter portion of the schedule.

I just checked and I play them in Week 21 & Week 22 - which is fine by me as it gives me a chance to tweak my team into contention - any objections Nat???

    There are objections from ME.

Of couse, it will likely be a matchup between a couple of cellar dwellers anyway

I fear that you may be right - I don't have the same confidence about this team as I have had in days past.

I may be seen and not heard from this year. Much to the delight of BM I'm sure.

Any others? I need to adjust the schedule soon, so if anyone else sees any of these, let me know ASAP.

    Re: Request for Surveys

I've made some changes to the schedule to accomodate the "problem" weeks.

Please check your schedules and see if it creates any new ones. (Most importantly, check to make sure you're playing everyone once, except for your division opponents, who you should play twice. Just to double check and make sure I didn't delete a week or something. Thanks.)

    Re: Request for Surveys

And just so people know, I'm working on the previews, and if I don't get a survey from your team, it's not going to be nearly as detailed as the ones that I do get surveys from. Thanks to all those who have sent them already.

    Just an update:

The previews are coming along slowly but surely. I have three of the ten I'm writing done, and I'm working on the fourth. They're a bit lengthy, which is why I'm taking so long.

Oh, no hurry. I'm busy watching the Minor League Draft anyway. That thing is occupying most of my time. It's rapid fire over there.
