...on that $20 Mota deal. It was no different than Evil Empire "mistakenly" pushing the +1 button. I had an amount sitting up there from the previous player up for bid - Miguel Cabrera I believe, who's price exceeded $20 so quickly, I never submitted it. We then verified that it was possible for this to happen.
Seems like a $47 bid on Vlad to me was more getting caught up in the heat of bidding, especially at the beginning of a draft. Upping a bid by $12 for a marginal player seems more like an obvious blunder.
I understand that people were frustrated, and didn't want to go through the inconvenience of what we went through to make the Vlad/EE situation right, but that's cool for everyone but me.
Imagine having to restructure your entire draft for a $12 mistake. Not easy.
I'm not asking to throw him back now, as that obviously can't be done (although it could very easily been done last night), but I would like to propose I get Mota at the $8 bid I intended to submit. If anything, at least if he's keeper material, I get him at fair market value next year, not inflated value because of an error.
For what it's worth, some folks were supporting my argument last night, and I would hope in fairness, people would see the similarities to the Vlad/EE situation.
