All of those dates work for me, the problem is that I am currently working from Brussels, Belgium(+6 hours), that means that I would prefer the auction to be either during the day (so I could participate that night) or late late at night so I could participate that morning. Either way, I can stay up and do it when it must be done.

I just wanted to announce that Vito (bakntime) and I will be co-owning the team in this league.

We haven't discussed a team name yet.

If one person wants to do a trade, and the other person doesn't, how would that work? Or would one person be in charge of say, trades and waiver/FA pickups, the other in charge of setting the l/u?

(Just curious, I never knew anyone who co-owned a team before...)

I never co-owned with someone who I wasn't really tight with, so it never really came up. We always agreed right away or talked it out until we did.

I'm down for the Auction league. I wold much moe prefer it to be H2H, I've found that it prolongs the life of the league because even if your team is not that good, there is always the chance you could pick u wins every week versus dying a slow death in rotisserie style league.

MSN is very good about large groups, but I dont think it handles more than 12 people convos very well. we would have to use some sort of a chatting program like IRC for that

Yeah, I understand your concern, Eric, but Vito and I are usually on the same page regarding baseball, with most things, so I don't see us running into many major problems. If we do, we'll take turns being the tiebreaker or something, but I really don't see it happening too often.

Wasn't concern as much as curiosity how it would work, in case I wanted to to do it myself some day.

Gotcha. I think the most important thing is owning a team with someone you agree with most of the time (on baseball, at least,) or else you would have to do what you said with the "one person final word on trades, one with the final word on who plays," etc.

Its not going to be H2H, its traditional 5x5 Roto. Takes the element of "luck" out of things, and is much more conducive to a serious auction league.

I'm gonna have to remove myself from this league everybody. Sorry about that. I'm in too many leagues already and I don't think I'll have the time to keep up with this one.

Thanks for letting us all know now. That really helps things out, as we won't be wondering whether or not to wait for you at the auction.

Thanks for the heads up, and good luck in your other leagues!

have all payed or have made ironclad commitments to be in the leaque, so them not having paid as of today is not a huge concern.

    We're still waiting on:

    Hitman23
    Espinosa's Glasses
    1TonHumanHamsterWheel
    Chanman7483
    OneilFan21

I know for a fact of at least one more person who is definitely going to pay, so that puts our total signups at 11. Even if everyone on the remaining list signs up, were still only at 16. That would be alright.

I think you're right, though. I think we should cap it right now, and come Sunday, we see how many people are left to pay up.

I sent a PM to everyone, so they all know, and I don't want to have to haggar people to be in the league. This is the kind of league where it doesn't behoove us to have semi-interested players. With an auction league, especially at the inception, you need to have people that know what they're doing, but more importantly people who have committed time and research to preparing for the auction. If people don't want to pay or are too busy to really participate on the level that this sort of thing requires, that is 100% fine. I commend pergo36 for opting out when he did; that was the right thing to do and the right way to do it.
