Anyone have a myspace? It's not for you adults really but it's very popular among teens. If a lot of people on here have them we could make a group.

I'd like to see some of yours, not to stalk though.

No. It's got a lot more things. Normal blogs you don't really have "friends" This you can have friends and groups. It's like a profile also. It's got a bunch of things. A lot of bands I listen to have MySpaces.... IT's weird.

As for people knowing stuff about me, I just use a Subprofile in Aim. It allows you to put multiple pages and stuff so I can say nearly anything and everything about myself.

I HATE subprofiles with a passion. I always get these weird spammers with them, like 50 year old women asking if "I wanna see their webcam" And it's gross. I have to change all my preferences to block them...they're a pain.

There is groups (I wish there were more baseball ones though that did not include the words "Red Sox Nation") that I like (A lot of networking in the animal welfare community that I am looking for). ALso the games are very addicting.

I set up a MySpace thing, but I don't really see the point of it.

It seems like a good tool for someone who has no friends and sits in front of the computer all day, but if you have friends I don't really see a need for it.

I'm not trying to knock anyone who uses MySpace, but to me, why would I sit at the computer internet-chatting with someone I don't know when I can be out with my friends, having fun and actually meeting new people?

my friend got me hooked on myspace. I already have made my use of it (I found out about some events that may lead to a dream job for me).

MySpace is heaven for all of the predators out there. It's amazing how much personal information teens give about themselves. Teens simply do not have the skills/experience to know how to stay safe from professional predators. I'm VERY against this type site. I made my kids remove their profiles. I emailed MySpace (they state the site is for 18 + but my objection is that there is no oversight for this...both my kids are under age and made a profile easily.) No one answered my email. That's gotta tell you something.

What is the fascination with broadcasting your life's details on an Internet journal? I can't believe some of the stuff people actually write in a public forum. It's probably just me but I don't get the appeal of those kind of sites.
