Anyone have a myspace? It's not for you adults really but it's very popular among teens. If a lot of people on here have them we could make a group.

I'd like to see some of yours, not to stalk though.

I keep getting invites to all these random groups and every time I click on the link in the Email to see what group it is I get this message:

I set up a MySpace thing, but I don't really see the point of it.

It seems like a good tool for someone who has no friends and sits in front of the computer all day, but if you have friends I don't really see a need for it.

I'm not trying to knock anyone who uses MySpace, but to me, why would I sit at the computer internet-chatting with someone I don't know when I can be out with my friends, having fun and actually meeting new people?

What is the fascination with broadcasting your life's details on an Internet journal? I can't believe some of the stuff people actually write in a public forum. It's probably just me but I don't get the appeal of those kind of sites.

MySpace is heaven for all of the predators out there. It's amazing how much personal information teens give about themselves. Teens simply do not have the skills/experience to know how to stay safe from professional predators. I'm VERY against this type site. I made my kids remove their profiles. I emailed MySpace (they state the site is for 18 + but my objection is that there is no oversight for this...both my kids are under age and made a profile easily.) No one answered my email. That's gotta tell you something.

I've been on LiveJournal for over three years and I'm seriously addicted. Ugh, I need a life.

I have a Myspace that I started months and months ago, and have really only used it to get back in touch with some of my old classmates from HS & JHS (NCC doesn't give out student email addresses, so no facebook for me). I'm going to be working in the medical field, and the networking field is only for people with careers in the arts.
"Sorry, an unexpected error has occurred". Every. Single. Day. I've come to expect these "unexpected errors".

Then again, the groups and games are cool.

I have a xanga. It's a great way to keep in touch with your friends. I never write anything too personal but they give you the option of having protected and private posts that only the users you want to read them can read them.

And it's fun making layouts.

With the hours of endless entertainment myspace provides it shouldn't be free. I'm really in awe of the stuff people will write in a public forum.

I do it a lot. Especially on my LJ, but also on my MySpace. It's a place to vent out anger, and emotions and opinions that they wouldn't agree with or that you don't want them knowing. I'm an agnostic, I'm pro-gay rights, I'm straight edge, and if I went to a psychiatrist today, they'd put me on so much medication I wouldn't know which way is up anymore, none of which anyone in my family knows, mainly because if they found out about any of that, I'd probably be living on the streets begging for money right now. And that's only what I'm actually posting here, there's much more about me that would probably have my family (and friends) calling for my head to be cut off.

I find comfort in the fact that 90% of the people I'm telling this stuff to can relate to it, and that i don't know them personally, it's not like they're going to come up to me and talk to me about things, or tell anyone else that I know. I'm a VERY private person, but I'm a little mroe open about things when I'm anonymous.
