Not using Curtis Martin in OT is stupid.

No. There's only one LT.
dont get ur panties in a twist cuz one guy has the same initals as sum1 who played awhile ago. He'll go down in history as the real LT. but for now its a lot easier to call him LT than spell his name out.

Can we look at a double OT like Carolina vs. St. Louis from last year?

If the Jets win the rookie lives with blowing a great season, if the Chargers win Barton still lives with "The Rough" so somebody will have something to live down either way.Originally Posted by Mattpat11

If you miss a field goal on 3rd down, the ball still goes to the other team, right?Originally Posted by deranged2005

Thought he trapped it....nice catch.

The ball never touched the ground. It should be a catch.

Yep, the only benefit for trying on 3rd down is you get a do-over in case of a bad snap/hold. Not if the FG is missed/blocked.Originally Posted by Moose35
Now, if Santana Moss has control, the ball can hit the ground and the pass is complete. If he doesn't have control and it hits the ground, it's incomplete.

Nope, still got 4th down. That was the problem with the Gaints choking in San Fran 2 years ago. They tried to win the game on a FG on 3rd down, the snap was bad and they lost. If the holder picked it up, fell, and called a timeout, they would have had another chance, and probably would have won.Originally Posted by Moose35

however the snap was perfect, they wouldn't have tried to call a time out. no matter what if he missed it, you wouldn't have another chance.Originally Posted by deranged2005

No, apparently if you actually get the kick away on 3rd down and miss it, the other team still gets the ball. But if you mess up the snap and fall on the ball, then you still have 4th down.Originally Posted by deranged2005
