Help, I've started a duplicate thread, how do I merge/delete it?

You can't delete a new thread or merge threads. Just bring the problem to our attention, and we'll take care of it.

I thought that if you started a thread, and deleted the first post, the thread disappeared?

Aren't you allowed to delete the thread if no one else has posted to it yet? I thought I remembered doing that once when I started a thread and shortly thereafter realized that someone else had started one about the same thing. Maybe I just remember incorrectly.
