Do you want to see Clemens advance?

Don'y know if this is the right place to post this so bear with me. My father and I have been arguing about Clemens making it through the division series. I didn't want to see Clemens make the playoffs at all. I wish he would have finished last. Him and Andy.It makes me sick that they both left knowing that a Red Sox - Yankee series was for sure going to happen. My gfather hopes to see Clemens pitching in the Series against the Yanks. I hope not. I wish he would rot. Escape the biggest rivalry sports to go to Houston. What an a&^. What do you guys think?

GOROCKET..what the hell does that mean..what's his advice? I just think he pulled a Nomar. Nomar used to complain that sox fans take things to personal and are just nuts about there team. In my thinking I thought Roger got sick of the whole rivalry thing . With what happened to Zim last year, Andy and Roger both looked the most concerned. I think he bailed out...

Eh... I don't really care. The Rocket was never a favorite of mine, but to be sure I cheered for him every 5th day when he was in pinstripes. I'd say, I'd love to face Roger because that would mean we were in the series, but other than that it doesn't really affect me.

Pettitte on the other hand I will always cheer for and i hope he heals in the off season and has a monster year next year. Andy's departure was very DIFFERENT from Rogers'.

Never mind, long day, I honestly read "advice" at first. Sorry about that.

I don't care if we see Rocket.

I would expect him to get all hyped up and overthrow, which would result in us spanking him.

Let's just concentrate on the ALCS can we? It should be time to forget about the World Series and if we can sign Beltran or not.

Now, about Clemens advancing (as opposed to advice!), after the World Series last year I knew he wasn't coming back. What he did is up to him. The issue of the Hummer is an issue between him and the Yankee players (as it was from them). If the players aren't bothered by it, why should I? The one issue that you could get on him is that the Yanks didn't offer arbitration (and get the draft picks) as they thought he was retiring, but as has been done in the past, Yanks could have offered it anyway and I blame Cashman as much as anyone for that.

You can delete one by going into edit and click on delete. But see my response above anyway, my eyes must have been playing tricks on me, I read for some reason "advice" instead of "advancing". That's what I get for sitting in front of a computer at work and then again now at home!

I stick to my original prediction from Spring Training...

Yankees vs. Astros in the Fall Classic.

I have no ill will towards Roger and I'm grateful for the 5 years he gave the Yankees - but if we have to cross paths; I hope the Yankees cream him.

I'd rather see Roger in the World Series than Schilling.

    I thought Clemens retired?!?
The Yankees are now 206-1 when Mariano has been asked to protect a four-run lead.

After that display at the All-Star Game, the Yankees and Sox would both love to get another shot at him I'll bet.

    Talk about overthrowing

I don't really care either way. I think he is a bit of a putz, but whatever. That being said, I don't think the Astros will make it past the Cardinals.

Neither do I. Even if the rotation was set up right it would be tough, now due to Clemens not going until game 3 and Oswalt not until game 4, that means Oswalt starts one game.

Exactly, they would have enough trouble if things lined up, but now...it will be amazing if they can take it to 6.

It does not matter to me who advances in the NL. I do think that it will be a competitive series though. Beltran looks as though he may be able to carry the Astros by himself.

Clemens, Pettitte and the Hendricks brothers can go to h*ll. Oh wait, they're in Houston. How redundant of me.

My best scenerio would be to see the Astro's in the WS with Clemens pitching the first, third and sixth games and winning them all with the Yankees taking the WS and Mo having all four saves. Clemens is my man, no matter what the rest of you think of him.

Clemens tried not to anticipate a potential World Series meeting against the Yankees or Red Sox. That was fruitless.

"Don't think that every time I turn the corner or pick up a phone, I'm not getting messages from those guys up there, friends from New York and friends from Boston," he said. "They're telling me it's their dream matchup, which would be just another ulcer for me."

If Clemens beat the Sox in the WS, it would be worth it to me. What a fantastic heartbreak that would be.

I would like to see Clemens advance for two reasons:

    1) I do like the guy and harbor him no ill will.
    2) If he pitches in Yankee Stadium I see him imploding similar to game 3 in the 99 ALCS.

I hope that Clemens gets shelled every time he pitches.
