Jim ~ just curious. For some reason my password was deleted and one of those funky letter combinations was put in its place and e-mailed to me. How come. I've reset it, but I was just curious why that happened.

    Thanks,

Did you change the email address associated with your registration?

Whoops! Yeah I did. Didn't realize the two were connected. I changed it to this site.
    Thanks.

    Jim,

I will be switching from using the service providor at work to one at home this week. I might want to use both till Friday. Can I use the same password for both?

    Nome,

The system automatically assigns a password whenever an email address is changed in your profile. You can always change your password by going into your profile, but as soon as you change your email address, it will send a new random password to the new email address.

I hope this answered your question.

    Jim

that means that I need a new screen name for my home computer. There can't be two Nomes, right?

You can use Nome, but just remember your current password. All you need is your user name and password, and you can post from any computer, anywhere. The system won't know that you changed your email address until you tell it that you did.

    Thanks,
Now I don't have to ask the kids and get a smart alecky response from them like "gee Dad, don't you know anything?"

    Hey Nome,
I changed my email address to Bronxbombers.com and it emailed me a new password, and then I used that one just long enough to get into my profile and change it back to the original. Very easy. Even the computer illiterate can handle it (me) so I'm sure you will have no trouble.
