Wait...the Giants are up 5-0 right now. What happens if they win?

    Well, congrats to the Astros.

It's really remarkable that Houston came back and won like that. They went 36-10 since August 15, which is nothing short of astonishing.

    Congrats, I guess.

I wanted Pettitte and Rocket to watch the playoffs from their couches kicking themselves in the ass for leaving the Yanks.

Phil Gardner did a great job putting this run together by pushing the right buttons.

Atlanta Braves vs. Houston Astros is a good matchup.

What do you think of the possibility of Rocket pitching in a Game 1 World Series at the Stadium.

My winter and spring dream World Series of Astros-Yankees is close to coming true.

Can both teams just get 14 combined wins to make this happen.

It looked like back in late July/early August they were left for dead. Simply an amazing job by Phil Garner and the players to come back like this and make the play offs.

It would be great on two fronts:

    1. It means the Yanks made the Series
    2. It means the Yanks will win game 1.

Yah but not for the right reason.

I also sort of wished an Astro's / Yankees series happened, if the Astro were going to make the playoffs, but that is only because I love Andy. Even though I love him, I would have loved much more to see the 2 of them getting rocked in the Series at the stadium.

at least Barry Bonds is'nt in the playoffs AGAIN this year, give it up Barry you'll never win a World Series ring.

i hope they get swept by the braves .

I hope that the phonies, Pettitte, Clemens and the Hendricks brothers never even sniff a championship ring again.

Maybe Rog will get himself tossed in the first inning for arguing balls & strikes.

    Amen. I sure hope not.

I called the Astros crazy for going out and getting Beltran. I justsaw no way that they would get back in the thing, but they did. Congrats. Now I get to see one of my favorite players (Beltran) on the big stage.

It's a miracle the way the Astros came back. I'm still holding out hope for that Sox/Astros world series.

Roger being out sick yesterday sets him up for game 1. Who knows, they might even win a playoff series this time!

I wonder if he would head over to Monument Park again if that happened.

I don't dislike the guy [well, I don't like him either - he's just there, being all fearsome pitcher and stuff], but that would be odd.

He did but I still think it would be odder now that he was part of the team and basically left us the way he did.

OK, so I'm still a tad bitter. Understanding, but bitter. Heh.

The Astros reminded me of the 1978 Yankees.

The Cubs reminded me of the 1978 Red Sox.

At least we won't hear any of that Red Sox/Cubs WS crap like last year.
