Off days suck. Rays/Sox is what I'm watching? Bleh.
Go D-Rays. I hope they rock that pompous A-hole Arroyo.

Huff reached on fielder´s choice to shortstop, Cruz out at second, Huff to second on shortstop Cabrera´s throwing error.
Was this a 6-6-3 or 6-6-1 play where Cabrera threw the ball away to 1B?

Cabrera fielded the ball up the middle, stepped on 2nd, threw to first and the throw was about 2 feet over McCarty's head who I believe is well over 6' tall.Originally posted by Jersey Yankee

This Kazmir kid is really really good. Very lively fastball.
I'm confused...wasn't 1918 a good year for us?

Wow Kazmir is so sick! Pedro was right when he said that Kazmir could be the best pitcher in baseball one day. He's so good!
Wow, this kid has everything he needs to be a great pitchers. Velocity, mechanics, control, knowledge, kick ass name

Stuff happens. Like when Francona fielded his best glove guys at YS when Lowe pitched, but he got bounced around a bit.Originally posted by DaBomber25

Nah, he doesn't seem like a bad kid; it'd be kind of cruel to put him on the Yankees staff with the Melosaur. A good pitching coach could transform him into Cy Young...maybe if New York had another coach, or maybe Billy Connors.Originally posted by Jersey Yankee

Lugo doubled to deep left, Cummings scored, Lugo to third advancing on throw.

yeah...don't forget that he's a 20 year old rookie. He's not going to be as dominant as he's been tonight thus far consistently without some experience and some solid pitching assistance.Originally posted by av8r

Jersey Yankee, I saw someone at the stadium with that jersey (your avatar) on last weekend.
Inning over. 1-0 Rays.

All depends. Is Billy mostly a fixer-upper, or does he elbow Joe that a pitcher needs to be taken out? If Mel were somewhat more responsive when a pitcher's clearly spent, I wouldn't mind Billy remaining in the fixer upper role. However, replaying one w/the other would mean that Billy would then be involved in the everyday pitching coach chores, rather than one pitcher at a time, which is what I presume he's doing now.Originally posted by twentyquestions

It was some Filipino dude, I think, somewhat pudgy, about 5'9" or 5'10" at most. PM me and I'll dig up that pic. I'd cropped it to look different, but he'd walked around in it and I asked him to pose. I cropped it and it's my av.Originally posted by yanksrule69

No, I know he's young. I'm very impressed. I was just surprised that with the quality stuff he has, he got lit up recently. Also, he's done this to the Red Sox once and it looks like it is going to be hard to score runs tonight. He blew a fastball by Ramirez, and you hardly ever see that.Originally posted by twentyquestions

Sox typically struggle with pitchers they haven't seen much at all, but damn, this kid is something. What the hell were the Mets thinking??
This TB team could be something special in a couple years
