The Milwaukee Brewers are the closest Major League team to me. The only pro baseball I get to see was at County Stadium. Though I don't like Milwaukee, or the Brewers, I liked seeing the Yankees play at County Stadium. Joe Torre played there too during his playing career. Since the move to the national league, I have had nothing to look forward to. The National League is boring as hell. But, I'm looking forward to seeing Miller Park. It looks awesome. But it worries me, County, Tiger, could Yankee Stadium be next?

The new ballpark really does look nice - let us know if it is as nice as it looks! Also, I know I heard they were still going to have sausage races, but did Bernie Brewer make the move? Not to mention the band that plays "Roll Out The Barrel" (although I guess it's a recording of a band now).

What can I tell you - when they were in the AL, I always got a kick out of our trips to Milwaukee!

It certainly appeared to be a very nice stadium when I saw the exhibition game vs. the white sox on t.v.

They also have a retractable roof.. which is different from the other ball parks that have that feature. The one (roof) at Miller Park actually takes the shape of a "v" and opens upward as opposed to across.

I will kind of miss the old County Stadium affectionately known as the "tin can"... Since I went to school in Madison, we used to go to a few games in Milwaukee.. and as I recall they still "roll out the barrel".

As for sausage races... yikes.. I just saw a White Sox game on Sunday.. and they had that here in Chicago (how embarrassing ).. anyway the "hotdog" won. Guess it's a midwest thing!

I guess that the roof on Miller Park dosn't work. During a rain storm all the water leaked through the seams of the roof. There were like mini water falls coming down on the players all over the field and the pitching mound! They had to open the roof because the water was coming down so thick in areas. It looks like a serious design flaw.
