I just got back from Subway. I need to fast tomorrow for Yom Kippur, so I wanted eat something small, that way I'll be hungry for enough food before I need to start the fast (sundown tonight) during my last meal at dinner.

I've had a rough week -- my mom had heart surgery and it wasn't planned...luckily she's doing great but I'm physically dead on my feet...I just want to go home and I hope the roads are clear come 5, so I can cruise home. Yes, this week did go by rather quickly.
It was a very tough week for me. My mother passed away on Sunday Sept 19th, and this was my first week back to work.
I am also going down to the Jersey shore for the weekend, a trip I had planned before my mom's death. I had vaccillated about going away, but my mother's voice in the back of my head said " Go !! And have a good time, damn it ! ".
Here's to you, Mom.
I'll look for you in the sunrise on the beach, and think of you.

Sue, I'm sorry to hear about your mother. I think it's a great idea to go down to the shore -- it's always important to continue on with life in the midst of something like this. Your mother would want you to go... and I want you to play some skeeball for me

Just took a two hour lunch hour to go back to my house to get my sandchair (which I forgot to pack last night).
Two+ hours to go......... and then it's on the road to the shore, dinner @ the Yellow Fin on LBI (the bottle of Chardonnay is already chillin' in the car), and then to the house......... and possibly a walk down to the beach about 10 p.m.-ish, since I'm hoping they'll be enough moonlight to point the way.
If there's any wine left in my bottle of white, I'll drink a toast to my mother,( God's newest angel ), on the beach !
