That's a shame. Rodriguez was starting to look like a SP who could really help the Rangers with their playoff run.
There's nothing in the entire sports world like being a NY Yankee fan.

    Ouch! That sounds painful.

The worst that I saw in my lifetime was the hit that Ryan Thompson had that hit Bryce Florie in the eye. I remember blood spurting out of his eye. That was gross.
I want to thank the Good Lord for making me a Yankee fan.

I remember Tony Saunders breaking his arm. Just nasty, and very sad considering it ended his carrer. Lets hope Rodriguez is allright.

Here is a link to the Saunders story. Turns out he broke his arm a second time during Rehab. Just sad.

I was watching when the Dodgers' Kaz Ishii was hit by a liner two years ago. I am still amazed that he is able to continue pitching with the plate in his head. Occasionally, he even pitches well.

I was sorta watching the game while I was following the Yankees online, and I didn't see when Rodriguez was hit initially, just saw him lying on the ground in pain, then they showed the replay, and OUCH.

He is now out for the season, so sad. Does anyone know if that Olson fellow (Greg Olson?) has played since the game where he got hit. (Skull?)

He is the link to the R-Rod story. http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/ne..._mlb&fext=.jsp

I just recently broke my elbow. Not fun times. Is this his throwing arm? If so you never fully recover from it from what I understand. Full movement that is.

Other than Florie, I think the time Dave Dravecky broke his arm while throwing a pitch was the most f-ed up thing I saw. Supposedly the crack was loud enough to be heard by fans.

Ouch. I saw that. That's a major sting. Everybody in Dallas/Arlington Texas area is talkin' about him and he's a very good player for the Rangers.

    I wish him the best.
