People really need to pay attention when they're in a major league stadium..it's just common sense...two examples from thursday's Yankees Red Sox game that i was at.
First example..during batting practice Jason Varitek hits a screamer down the left field line, it's going out of the stadium.....everyone screams "heads up!" but the kid doesn't listen and the ball smacks him right in the face...he gets taken out on a stretcher..he misses one of the greatest games ever because he DIDN'T PAY ATTNENTION!
Second example...after Pedro Martinez gets done warming up he flips the ball behind his back into the left field bleacher crowd, and it smacks a young female Red Sox fan right in the face..she was jarred for a second but was ok...i know Pedro flipped a ball into the crowd unexpectedly but still you have to be paying enough attention to notice the ball flying at you....
and i'm sure there's worse stories about this kind of stuff happening...pay attention at ballgames at all times people!
